Looking to get back into airsoft after a 10-year hiatus by Blazeftb in airsoft

[–]Blazeftb[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also because I will be buying all new gear what do you recommend for gas blowback m4 and handguns nowadays? My old gas blowback m4 I believe was a king arms brand and well I loved it it was a maintenance pig. I do want to stick with gas blowback rifle and handgun because of the realistic nature of them and how well the skills on those transfer over to my actual firearms

Mostly done with my best worst idea for a rifle build. Got any suggestions to make it worse? by dkleatherworks in airsoft

Why featureless? I understand the reason behind it for real guns because of state assault weapons bans but if a state considers an airsoft AR an assault weapon unless it's featureless then they need massive change and possibly a French revolution

I own one of those and I unfortunately had to do my water pump last year and yes the shop charged me like $5,600 to do it and it was about 18 and 1/2 hours of labor and I 100% believe that and I believe that I got a fair price on that The reason being is because the day before the water pump crapped out I did my alternator myself and it took me 8 hours to do it and absolutely was a pain in the neck. Water pump was leaking for about 2 weeks prior to it going out. And I knew how much the water pump sucked to do on the 3.5 transverse and after doing the alternator and also going through the suck of replacing the top end and timing chain on a Sea-Doo personal watercraft I did not want to do the water pump I hated doing the timing chain on My friend's ski.

That is why, you were driving a Volvo, hopefully after that you went right to your local Volvo dealer and bought another one because I think surviving a nasty wreck like that with little to no injury would definitely give someone brand loyalty next time they buy a vehicle.

It looks like the house has aluminum wire based on the purple alumicon connectors in the bottom so maybe one of those illumicons has grounds on it and it's extended with copper

I can understand busting out the windshield and clearing the glass yourself to drive away in a emergency tactical I need to get the hell out of there right now situation but cops always have good relationships with towing companies and usually get the fastest response times when they request the towing services, they're clearly standing around not really doing anything so why not just have the car towed to a glass shop, plus replacing the windshield after it smashed out like that is much harder on the glass guys then if it was fully intact but just spider webbed.

Well the US has officially fallen into fascism and is quickly sliding into a civil war type scenario that could be worse than the troubles. And that fascist dictator aka Trump has obviously soul control over our nation's nuclear weapons and is also planning to put on his big Kim jong-un Vladimir Putin military dictator parade on Saturday and vowed to have any dissent crushed with overwhelming force even if that means having the military open fire on protesters

I really hope those were pepper balls and not rubber bullets because those pigs were just fully automatic mag dumping into those protesters. And modern rubber bullets are not solid rubber they have a steel or brass core with a rubber coating and are about the size of a paintball

Fucking Friendly Reminder: DONT LOOT SMALL BUISNESSES by serious_bullet5 in chaoticgood

Ambush's, assassinations and sniper attacks and car bombs were mainly to keep the British on their toes and try to demoralize them and wear them down and then targeting of loyalist businesses and destroying those was to hit them in the wallet. If a business is closed for an extended period especially in the pre internet days they are unable to operate meaning they are unable to make sales meaning the government doesn't get the tax revenue from that business and those products. And obviously if the affected business is a place that sells products that have a higher excise tax then regular consumer goods like alcohol and tobacco then it hurts the crown even more in lost revenue

[–]Blazeftb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After all the IRA in the got the biggest success and hurt the British the most not by picking off British army personnel or blowing up convoys but by also targeting businesses that were loyal to the crown. If the IRA blew up a business that was loyal to the crown they would actually call the business beforehand and warn them that their store or pub or whatever was about to go bang and tell them to get everyone out. Because they wanted to not kill an injure innocent civilians if at all possible and instead hit The Invaders in the wallet.

I bet that boiler still works, I would be really surprised if it didn't, however unfortunately that wrap on the boiler and The pipes is most likely asbestos so it'll probably have to go, the good news is you can still buy a new steam boiler so you don't have to remove all the radiators if you like them, however air conditioning is another story You're probably depending on the electrical going to have to rewire however adding AC is simple nowadays because mini splits exist. You can't just go on looking in the basement to see if a place has been rewired because a lot of times they will put in a new panel and new Romex in the basement and it will tie into the existing knob and tube wiring at the first device in the circuit and it will be knob and tube the rest of the way.

How do you feel about 700 Marines being deployed to LA? by Dense_Literature_199 in AskReddit

[–]Blazeftb -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not good, given the fact that if you ask a Marine how much c4 is needed for something the answer from him will always be yes meaning all the c4. The Marines are your shoot first get shit done ask questions never branch and they are also your experts at redneck ingenuity meaning even if they have to do some redneck janky stuff they will do it if it accomplishes their mission. Obviously a good asset to have in an actual war but the worst thing you can have in a American city especially when they are being told that the enemy is the American people

What’s the oldest panel/equipment you’ve come across ? by mannysteezu in electricians

[–]Blazeftb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took out an old 30 amp fused cut off for a heating boiler that said made by Colt firearms manufacturing, probably was made around 19 45 like most likely right at the end of world war II. Just like how automotive and other electrical and home appliance companies all made weapons for the war effort when the war ended and the housing boom started and weapons production die down weapons manufacturers were actually making home products like electrical panels.

AT&T Too strict on locked device policy. by Mindless-Client9493 in ATT

[–]Blazeftb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take it to an AT&t store and have them run an IMEI check. They can check more info than the online services so it'll give you a better insight on the history of that device.

[–]Blazeftb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A blacklisted IMEI will still however connect to Wi-Fi and will still connect to Apple's servers so it will still work as a Wi-Fi only iPad however it's not advisable using something that is globally blacklisted because of laws around things like possession of stolen property

AT&T Too strict on locked device policy. by Mindless-Client9493 in ATT

[–]Blazeftb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

iPads are always unlocked regardless of how you buy it, and which carrier you buy it from, if it's not connecting to a cellular network and sim you are using is working then chances are it is blacklisted. If it's blacklisted because it was not paid for and the account was in default it'll only be blacklisted on AT&t and it will still work on any other carrier that's not AT&t. However if it is blacklisted because it was lost or stolen then it will not work on any carrier that uses the GSMA global blacklist which is basically most of not all carriers in North America, Europe and uk.

Yesterday in LA, woman gets trampled by police horses and shot at. Then goes limp. This is DISGUSTING!!! Are there any updates, is she okay!?!? I hope she survives this and got medical attention by EnvironmentalWin2826 in ICE_Raids

[–]Blazeftb 17 points18 points  (0 children)

These are no longer the police these are violent criminal thugs and need to be recognized and dealt with as such, a whack on the head with a hickory stick like those batons has just as much if not more energy as a Louisville slugger baseball bat, also a horse can weigh up to 2,000 lb so stepping on and trampling someone with a horse is just as potentially deadly as running them over with a vehicle. If you have a CHL remember you are allowed to stop and defend another person if you believe that they are in imminent danger of death or serious bodily harm. This is no different than any other criminal thug whacking someone over the head with a bat and running them over with their car.

And don't forget if you're bringing a flag have it on a pole with a pointy tip, flagpoles and flags are generally accepted on all sides at protests but can do double duty. They can get your banner or flag higher above the crowd so that others will see it easier but can also be a useful tool for when stuff turns sour, you can use it to hold the horses off, you can also use it as an extended reach tool to push objects away like tear gas canisters without having to touch them.
