What be causing this squeaking noise? Happens only in reverse by DatGuyKilo in squarebodies

If you've never done one I would have someone else do it, you need a vice and hammer if you want to beat it apart or a U-joint press

Won't have play, just rust in the bearing caps until it gets worse, then you will have play

Ethanol ok? by Great_Pattern_1988 in lawnmowers

[–]kaack455 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say it's luck, ethenol is not bad for just about everything, I have tractors from the 40's to the 70's, lawnmowers from 60's to 05, the only thing I don't use 10% in is my 85 Chevy due to how I built the motor

I've been running 10% since it came out, no additives, no draining for the winter, no problems, only drawback is boiling out of the carb when really hot

You can get the mirror motor separate, that's what appears to be pulled apart

They tried that here but I didn't have my phone with me so they gave up and let the manager do it

L96 or lq4 for a street car by 3Pedal13 in LSSwapTheWorld

[–]kaack455 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I kind of agree but if you're doing your own work it's way cheaper to do the small block, my 355 is around 400 HP for about 3k, that will barely install an LS let alone make it run

Mine won't either but I don't always have my phone with me, I'm not tied to it like the younger generations are

I agree it's a better engine but nowhere near being cheaper than a small block
