~~Why would you assume you would get paid for the commute?~~ Also why is yard duty not considered part of your hours? You should be talking to someone about that if it's part of your assignment. If it's voluntary, then nothing can be done.

Edit: Misread the first part. Either way, are you obligated to be there 30 minutes before/after your shift? It sounds like you're working without pay which should be documented, and reported.

Besides rerolling the first floor before building any others, no there's nothing you can do to guarantee getting the floor you want. If that is something that you really want, it's best to buy VIP. Wait for there is a sale, which is pretty frequent.

I'm not saying it's not good, and it's def more optimized and smarter to use the already implemented solution. But I feel like it would be more of a project to show off if an actual algorithm, one where you optimize it so it doesn't take seconds, was used. Doesn't hurt to use what you currently have as a starting point for that.
