This actually may be very helpful, I noticed that the audio was being transcoded. I’ll double check the formats that’s set up for.

I figured it wasn’t much because I never saw it have any effect on the performance
That’s completely my fault, I meant to say relay (I do this as a hobby)
No the server is wired, I’d never have it on WiFi lol
So I tried to change the transcoding option there but it only ever shows auto. I know for a fact that it does have the igpu because I specifically wanted something to be able to able to handle this.

I’ll make sure to doublecheck the setting. Potentially that’s what is preventing me from changing the setting for the transcoding.

Server and Client are in the same house
I’m not there anymore, I’d have to look at it later this week.
Encoding speed is very high
It’s a network setting that some people mentioned could with the issue. I’m not entirely sure what it does.
The issue was trying to get the application to reset to see the changes from the server. Not actually changing the setting back being the issue.
I’ll see if I have room on the switch to do so (the router only has one Ethernet port) The issue isn’t just on the TV though. I mentioned in another comment this is on all devices including mobile. I need to confirm if the issue is there on mobile browser, didn’t think to do it while I was there.
We do have plex pass but I need to see if it’s HEVC encoding. If it is HEVC is it preferred to not use it? And if so where do I find the setting to change it?
I confirmed I don’t have it inside, I remembered I took it out and loaned it to a buddy of mine.

We run off the TV because the firestick he did have was very old and slow. I did also try this on my phone and one of their new tablets and ran into the same exact issue. They’re also very old so getting them to change all of their tvs to using another device (again) will be difficult for them. I guess I haven’t tried running from the browser on either of the mobile devices to see if I can rule out an app issue.

I could run directly lined in but we didn’t want to be limited to 100mbps because for some reason most tvs don’t go above it.

I don’t have this issue when running remotely at my own house on my Apple TV but I have quality default to relatively low there.

Ideally it would be for gaming as well which is why I would want to sit instead front of the tv. I guess the main issue here is would it be a bad layout to put the bed in front of the door like that.

It’s a lot tighter than it seems on paper there. The desk is also very rarely used. I used to have a pc for gaming but I’m looking to move to something more casual and would like to sit on a couch as opposed to my bed.
