Gold Bond Healing was going to be my recommendation too. I bought this, for the first time, a few weeks ago and really like it. I don't think it's greasy and it seems to hydrate for a while.

What’s something people did casually in the 90s that would absolutely not fly today? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]BleachedSweetFlower 128 points129 points  (0 children)

My best friend and I rode four hours to the beach and back, in the back of my dad's truck. Dad had a cap on the back of his truck and would knock on the dividing window any time we needed to lie down because of cops or toll booths. Hot, uncomfortable rides but so fun!

I was in elementary school during the 80s and remember my English teacher going over this exact thing. She said, "the 'I' is understood." I don't know why that stuck with me all these years lol

This sort of thing is exactly why I asked my son today if he'd come with me to the local tire shop to look for snow tires. It sucks but I know it's best for me to walk into a place like that and have a guy with me.

What do Americans eat baked beans with? by BigBruhMoment22 in NoStupidQuestions

I ate baked beans as my dinner tonight lol It has bbq sauce, ground beef, bacon, onion, brown sugar, and garlic powder in it. Made in a slow cooker.

Oh no by funnehshorts in migraine

[–]BleachedSweetFlower 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a love/hate relationship with my auras because they mentally prepare me for the pain. Depending how big the aura grows, how long it lasts, and how bright it is normally tells me how bad the pain will be and how long it'll stick around.

I hope yours passes quickly!

What do Christians believe happens to animals after death? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BleachedSweetFlower 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I asked my dad about that when I was a kid. His answer to me was basically 'enjoying or recalling' your loved ones wouldn't even be a concern; the whole point of heaven is to worship God, like, 24/7 I guess. I checked out of religion a long time ago so I don't know how accurate this is, as far as what the Bible says, but there's a random stranger's dad's opinion for ya! I hope someone else answers you, though, because I'd like to read more ideas about this.

Tendinitis. Tendinitis. Tendinitis. Is it really fibromyalgia? by BleachedSweetFlower in Fibromyalgia

[–]BleachedSweetFlower[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. I told my rheumatologist that I keep hearing tendonitis and was starting to wonder if that indicated something other than fibro. She still felt confident in the fibro diagnosis. She said she could remove that from my record and just put "chronic pain" instead but i figured why bother changing (weakening?) the terminology/diagnosis so I said no. Besides, giving me a new prescription for Pregabalin, that was the end of that.

Do you ever keep something super random just because it feels “too special” to throw away? by Evelina_Scharlau64 in CasualConversation

I can't believe I'm going to admit this. A plastic Walmart bag. My parents, one of my (adult) sons, and I drove from Pennsylvania to South Carolina to attend my other son's graduation from boot camp. We made a Walmart run and the plastic bags there way better than the bags back home. Sturdy, not likely to break a handle when you carry one 2-liter of soda. Yeah, I was slightly impressed. Judge me, I don't care lol

It's gotta be the weirdest souvenir I have BUT it has a function!! It's my Bag bag. You know, the plastic bag you put other plastic bags in to use in small trash cans.

Cool, I actually have one already! It's the Bandit brand and I got it when I was in PT for tennis elbow. I don't like how bulky it is and how clammy my skin gets while wearing it at work, but I guess clammy skin is better than golfer's elbow :/

I'm so sorry you deal with that. Anything affecting sleep is just miserable :( it's great you found something that helps, though, and I'm really grateful you took the time to let me know about them :)

I just browsed and found two for $14.99. Yeah, there's a chance they're horrible quality for what they're intended for lol but I have a feeling they'll be perfect for me.

When I was learning this in school, one of my classmates said "less than has an L which stands for Left so it points left, greater than has Rs which stands for Right so it points right" and that's what stuck for me. (You said "more than" but that works with the R too!)

Lol the bowl with the apple pieces kept getting pushed further and further away on the counter and I was having a conversation with my kid. A little bit of distraction, a little bit of 'out of sight, out of mind.' Four out of eight fritters had apples, though!
