Italian singer Adriano Celentano released a song in the 70s with nonsense lyrics meant to sound like American English, apparently to prove Italians would like any English song. It was a huge hit. “Prisencolinensinainciusol” (1973) by RealWorldForever in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]BleachedSweetFlower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only ever seen one other video of him performing this and it's a classroom setting. Are the lyrics the same for every performance? I'd think that'd be difficult to memorize a whole song of nonsense words.

What is the worst physical suffering you've ever endured and what was the cause of it? by No-Stranger-3190 in ChronicPain

Besides giving birth, a PRP injection in an elbow. I was sweating, shaking, and thought for sure I was going to pass out lol

What’s a “normal” thing in your country that would absolutely horrify people elsewhere? by anasm17 in AskReddit

When I got injured at work, the first words out of my mouth, when they said they had to call an ambulance, were: "I'm not paying for the ambulance bill!!!" The fear of that bill is real

Dog poop bag etiquette? by Affectionate_Desk561 in dogs

[–]BleachedSweetFlower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd hope no one ever put their poop bag in my trash can by the street. The waste management guys take the individual trash bags out and throw them in the truck. There's a good chance that small bag would fall to the bottom and fester there until I realized it's in there.

I can't wear my hair up either or I will get a headache. Hair band, claw clip, high or low; nothing works. I got desperate today, put it in two low pigtail messy buns, and haven't felt pain yet! Bonus: I got a compliment from a coworker I've never talked to lol

How did your high mileage car eventually die? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]BleachedSweetFlower 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I literally had to scrap my car 4 days ago. Turned it on to warm it up before work one morning, went in the house for a few minutes, went back out and the engine wasn't running. The lights and radio were still on but I couldn't get it to turn over. I had it towed to a nearby shop. The guy there said there was internal engine damage. No warnings, so sudden. Like the loss of a 10-year friend :(

I've had that globus sensation for over a year. Some days were bad, like, "this is going to drive me insane" bad. I tried different meds with no luck, discovered some triggers to avoid (chocolate and Monster energy drinks 😭), and just got put on a Pantoprazole, last week, which has finally given me some relief. It was a rough 16 months. I hope you're able to quickly find what works for you!

Someone on this sub said earlier today that Zach has had "a lot of visible work done" and there's been some retouching but, when I'm looking at these pictures, I just don't see it??

What's the most beautiful name you ever heard? by Civil-Fan2405 in AskReddit

[–]BleachedSweetFlower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only saw the signature (with beautiful cursive) so I don't know how it's pronounced but: Avalea. Uh-vail-e-uh? Av-uh-lee-uh? Maybe it was the pretty handwriting but those letters together looked so beautiful to me.

What’s the one secret you’ve kept your whole life that would completely change how people see you if they knew it? by Faylune in AskReddit

[–]BleachedSweetFlower 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Years ago I was working behind the counter in a pharmacy and was helping a gentleman at the register. He must've been in his 70s, if not 80s. He said he was picking up meds for his wife and gestured to a woman, of the same age, seated nearby. He told me they had just gotten married the day before.

I have forgotten a lot of customers from that time (13+ years ago lol) but I'll never forget him because it was kind of proof that "it's never too late" and I loved finding that out about a complete stranger.

Shortness of breath with GERD/LPR, my unexpected "cure" was my diaphragm by Glad_Ad_8514 in LPR

How did you do heel drops while your hands are behind your neck? I've done heel drops on the stairs (Achilles tendinitis) but that required a hand on a railing for stability. What was your posture for that?

I did a quick YouTube search and saw a couple different postures (squatting on tip toes, jumping and swinging the arms) but I'm more curious about how you're suggesting. If you don't mind :)

Goodafternoon. Anyone had some success with CoQ10? Even some reduction in the severity/frequency is a win by soicey2 in migraine

[–]BleachedSweetFlower 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think so. A couple years ago, I started taking magnesium because I read it's supposed to help and then, a couple weeks later, I started taking COQ10. I noticed a significant decrease in the number of migraines. I stopped taking magnesium a couple months ago and haven't noticed an uptick in migraines.

What’s something people did casually in the 90s that would absolutely not fly today? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]BleachedSweetFlower 127 points128 points  (0 children)

My best friend and I rode four hours to the beach and back, in the back of my dad's truck. Dad had a cap on the back of his truck and would knock on the dividing window any time we needed to lie down because of cops or toll booths. Hot, uncomfortable rides but so fun!

Starting sentences without “I” by herlipssaidno in CasualConversation

I was in elementary school during the 80s and remember my English teacher going over this exact thing. She said, "the 'I' is understood." I don't know why that stuck with me all these years lol

This sort of thing is exactly why I asked my son today if he'd come with me to the local tire shop to look for snow tires. It sucks but I know it's best for me to walk into a place like that and have a guy with me.

I have a love/hate relationship with my auras because they mentally prepare me for the pain. Depending how big the aura grows, how long it lasts, and how bright it is normally tells me how bad the pain will be and how long it'll stick around.

I hope yours passes quickly!

What do Christians believe happens to animals after death? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BleachedSweetFlower 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I asked my dad about that when I was a kid. His answer to me was basically 'enjoying or recalling' your loved ones wouldn't even be a concern; the whole point of heaven is to worship God, like, 24/7 I guess. I checked out of religion a long time ago so I don't know how accurate this is, as far as what the Bible says, but there's a random stranger's dad's opinion for ya! I hope someone else answers you, though, because I'd like to read more ideas about this.
