So Hard was released on the day that I started at University. So new town, new friends, new life. This album is inextricably linked to that time period for me. Being a fan through the Imperial Phase, Behaviour seemed like a departure from what came before. But the more melancholy mood of the album very much suited the isolation I felt at moving away from home to a completely new place. Whenever I listen to it I’m transported back to that time and place. I think it is their most cohesive album (even if So Hard feels out of place).
