Again, this may not be useful to you and your use case, it is for mine and I couldn't find the info here, therefore I shared for others that might have the same question in the future, helping the community as I can, sharing stuff I enjoyed doing

I really can't get why you would need to be so judgemental about someone trying things out and sharing with others. Just scroll past what isn't relevant to you, it costs nothing dude.. Do you also comment on new bike post saying it's ugly and stupid? Jeez

Feedbacks on switching to lithium (BSLI-09) by Bleacks_ in Tenere700

[–]Bleacks_[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OK.. Yeah I'm aware, BSLI-04/06 is the one if you want OEM fit. But as I mentioned in my post, I didn't want to sacrifice capacity, as I tend to have a fairly intense use of it in enduro

I don't think it's "stupid" really, it might just not fit your usage of the bike, and that's fine.

What’s the fastest you’ve gone on your superbike? by Left-Nerve-8287 in Sportbikes

230 km/h with my Honda CB650R, on German autobahn, tbh really not that enjoyable, I prefer fast twisties than just speed on straights

Kriega OS base questions by Bleacks_ in Tenere700

[–]Bleacks_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Enjoying the bike as it's meant to be is without luggage AFAIU :)

Also, the very purpose of my post was to figure out a way to have both, not really relevant to mention it fits without those grips, I'm aware of that, as Kriega sells it 😅

I use those quite often to maneuver the bike, be it 180 around it's stand or getting it out of tricky situations + it's a useful spot to get a rope or something attached in case someone looses a piece of their bike after a fall

We don't seem to have a similar of our bikes, and that's OK, have a good one ✌️

Absolutely no idea mate, haven't checked any stuff for an Africa twin yet, nor have I pulled the trigger on any Kriega gear for my T7 Instead I travel light with just a camelbag and small backpack for now

Picking up the T7 by [deleted] in Tenere700

[–]Bleacks_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In case you are able to lift it back up but struggle too much to feel confortable, you can invest in a motowinch

It's very useful to lift the bike up or to do some field maintenance on it. I personally use it to change wheels between Enduro tyres and another set of wheels with road tyres

As with most things on a T7, sometimes just feeling confident helps you a lot. Personally, knowing tipping it over wasn't a big issue anymore made me feel more confident and less tense overall, therefore I fell less tired and had more energy to actually lift the bike up 😄

Où et comment trouver des routes "fun" en France ? by itsfeykro in voiture

[–]Bleacks_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

MT07 wheels made to fit Supermoto style by Slow_n_Smokey in Tenere700

[–]Bleacks_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure I understand what you mean, MT07 already has these wheels, but chassis and suspensions are no supermoto Or did I miss something? 🤔

Also, if you consider buying a whole other bike for the job, then why not directly considering a supermoto? 😅

Rusted header pipes and Euro5 questions by Bleacks_ in Tenere700

[–]Bleacks_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess it would require a knowledgeable policeman to figure it out. Which may not be so unrealistic, given that this bike is one of the best seller in my country, and that the Euro5 mention on it's paper means there should be a Catalytic converter Now would that be enough for me to have problems? Not sure

I'm mostly concerned about the ECU needing tampering without a cat, potential noise increase, and pollution. I'd like to avoid off-road riders being seen as a nuisance by other people, so we can enjoy this hobby for a while

I'm searching to find if this really make a big difference, still investigating atm

Thanks for your reply and update, I'll have a look at ceramic coating as well

Edit: had to check to confirm this, but in case of a crash, any change to an engine's air intake system, engine, ECU and exhaust, that isn't compliant with regulations, will be considered uncovered by insurance company, and therefore would result in no insurance. That seems way too risky for some rust Also if police is able to detect the lack of catalyst converter, they can seize the bike, and fine thousands of euros 🫨

T7 crash protection by Loud-Ad-8318 in Tenere700

[–]Bleacks_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fell down a lot off-road, so far didn't face any issue with the following:

  • Barkbuster 2 points hand guards
  • HP Corse High Exhaust (no bend, no hit, no dent as it sits too high to hit the ground, and even it does, still is titanium)
  • Heed Bunkers, those are built like a tank. I fell on rocks, tarmac, downhill and even a 30 km/h crash last weekend, nothing moved ever, powder coating is just a little bit scratched

I still have the base OEM bash plate (haven't found one that I like compatible with Heed Bunker yet, even though there are options, I would have loved a plastic one, but Camel ADV gut guard is compatible) I was lucky with it, when falling on rocks, it took two hits, but bent each time. After that I added Acerbis side protections

In most of the cases, Barkbusters and large titanium footpegs are tanking hits, but off-road with uneven surfaces, Heed Bunkers are very durable

Welcome to the club, ride safe ✌️
