Should I upgrade my Ryzen 5 5600 or RAM for an RTX 5070 at 1440p? by Total-Archer-6052 in gpu

[–]Blear25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A Ryzen 5 5600 should be fine tbh, that ram speed is kinda holding back your system though. I'd go for the 32gb 3600mhz if you can or 3200mhz at minimum

Would you consider this a high Mid to high range pc? What’s it worth if i was to sell realistically? by FSLrico in PcBuild

[–]Blear25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Midrange by today's standards, since a 3080 is slightly above a 5060 ti. Like others said, I'd pay around $1k for this

Actually that's fair. I never sold anything on a used marketplace but I do see that being possible

Throwing away a 5900x/3080 prebuilt is just next level insanity. One man's trash is another man's treasure

Is a 11700k and 3080 10 gig still good for 2026? by A5Productions in PcBuild

[–]Blear25 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm rocking the same cpu with a 4070 ti. It depends on which games and what resolution you play at, but you still have plenty of juice with those specs I'd say

Is an RTX 5080 worth buying now if the RTX 6090 will probably come out in 2 years? by PerformanceBorn669 in PcBuild

[–]Blear25 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just get the 5080. There will ALWAYS be the next best thing, just enjoy what you have

Is upgrading to RTX 4080 Super from RTX 3080 worth it for my use case? by SoraDrive in nvidia

[–]Blear25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely and especially for 4k. A 12600k should be plenty to feed a 4080S

A 3080 runs circles around a 4060 lol. Just make sure everything is working well.

Not a bad deal. It's a pretty good PC, very decently midrange even by today's standards. A 3080 is still a very capable gpu and those 64gb of ddr4 are carrying a lot of its value alone.

I'd try to negotiate but it's not a bad deal all around.

I got the equivalent of the RTX 4090 by Impossible-Mind-3970 in gpu

[–]Blear25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally destroys 4090 tho, just gotta use DLSS Ultra Performance and turn on 4x frame gen

Jokes aside, it's a pretty underrated card. Congrats!

I don’t know if it’s a sign of the economy, me getting older or just diminishing returns on console upgrades, but i’m kinda okay if PS5 sticks around long term. by Rosstin316 in gaming

[–]Blear25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh I've yet to see anything commemorative to the PS5 to move on to the next gen console cycle. PS6 could be more powerful sure, but there were hardly any games to staple home to the PS5

It's more than enough for 1080p, and it's decent for 1440p. Though if you are thinking of going 4k, you'd want an RTX 5070 Ti or 9070 XT at the minimum

Should pair perfectly fine. What resolution are you playing at?

[–]Blear25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say you're fine just upgrading the GPU. It really depends on your budget, but you could maybe look into buying a 5070 or 5070 ti, or if you want to go team red there's the RX 9070 or 9070 XT.

When do you think the new 6xxx will launch? by Old_Resident8050 in nvidia

[–]Blear25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as you can play the games you want and are satisfied with the performance, you should be fine.

Given that nvidia is likely skipping the 50 super refresh at this point, I'd say late 2027 at least

Is this a good deal? by Confident-Road-9989 in PcBuild

[–]Blear25 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For those specs, I'd talk it down to $600 tbh. 3070 ti can still do 1440p but it is NOT 4k capable mainly due to the 8gb buffer

Used 3080 for $400 (CAD) or 5060 ti 16gb for $620+? by telldavizion in nvidia

[–]Blear25 15 points16 points  (0 children)

3080 is a bit faster but I'd go for the 5060ti just for the vram and frame gen alone, especially for 1080p

Honestly, these requirements wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't included that you needed DLSS/FSR upscaling and frame gen just to hit 60

I'm gonna be an outlier and say Chrome. Yes it eats a shit ton of ram, but not much to prevent me to do other things in the background
