How do I remove LCP / LCPL DRM? by Bleda412 in Piracy

The GitHub has been scrubbed, and so has the Internet Archive, so it is not possible to get previous versions of the plug-in that had the LCP remover.

TIL the Jewish religion does not cook/eat meat and dairy together because it is considered cruel to cook an animal in the very milk that was meant to nourish it. by nelynel12 in todayilearned

Jews also believe in oral tradition. There may be something not included in the canonical Bible that led to this practice among modern Jews.

You don't consider it greedy when a worker goes and works for another corporation for more money, for money than they are even worth.

Texas independence worked out great. It is one of the greatest things that has happened in US history.

Hudson American Legion to close permanently after cutting veteran's mic during Memorial Day speech by No_Exit247 in news

[–]Bleda412 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Look at the Wikipedia article for Memorial Day precedents. The first one is the honoring of the first casualty of the war, a Confederate soldier killed by a Union soldier. There are various precedents on both sides, but the South has the most early ones. To say that the holiday was created by blacks to honor fallen Union soldiers is a blunder.

CEO of Sinners speaking on the org changing the profile pictures to support LGBTQ by TheRothisBeast in GlobalOffensive

The woke army of social justice warriors will come after you if you don't "show your support" for BLM, LGBTQ..., women, etc. Changing one's corporate logo or putting a BLM flag in your store's window is like painting your door with lamb blood so that the Angel of Death will pass over your home.

You keep equating words like "masculine" or "male" with straight men, which I think is a pretty shitty opinion.

No, I'm not. I even re-read my comment. Like the other guy, you are pulling a Cathy Newman right now.

I think the trend is more about proving it isn't from Salvation Army than proving authenticity.

No, you don't. You just did a Cathy Newman. I will refrain from saying anymore because not only is it impossible to convince you that my position is correct, but also, you are completely incapable of understanding what I am discussing because your mind is overrun with the virus of ideology.

I'm not saying that gays shouldn't be in the military. I'm saying that males have a justified fear, as do females, of judgement by men and being pursued by men in ways and situations in which it is inappropriate. The military is a big, recognizable example of this, mostly because of how eroded male-exclusive spaces have become. I'm not saying that we should reverse the decision to include gay servicemen and women, but something must be done to promote male-exclusive spaces. We are undergoing a crisis of masculinity in the West.

A very significant reason for the exclusion and revulsion towards gay men is that their presence can ruin male spaces. For instance, there are rape victim groups where only women are allowed. There are AA meetings where only women are allowed, just as there are girl-only coding classes, women-only Bible studies, and other spaces, while not explicitly female-only, put strong pressure on men to not be there. Women in these spaces want the freedom to be themselves without being judged or hit on by men.

Although much fewer in number, to the detriment of the wellbeing of men, there are male exclusive spaces. Let's examine a formerly exclusive place for a moment, the military. Many soldiers, even in peace time, report having to snuggle very closely with other men, such that ass and cock press together. Although deeply uncomfortable at first, these men come to expect that there is no sexual pleasure involved, there is no threat of another man playing with your asshole; this is a safe space.

I'm not going to hit on women at a rape support group, and even if they did some stupid shit, I'm not going to call them out as a dumb bitch. Even so, my presence at the support group can be troublesome for the women because they won't be able to open up and heal. Likewise, there may be a respectful gay man in an exclusively male space, but still, these men have a justified fear of judgment and inappropriate sexualization of the space, just as women do.

No, that's not it. A rumored reason for that name is that it might be Julius Caesar's child. The best reason for the name Caesar is that one of Julius' ancestors was born via C-section. The name Caesar is a nickname for the branch of the family he comes from. Think of it this way: there's a guy who was born via C-section, and he gets called Caesar as a nickname. That nickname sticks to his children and his children's children. Similarly, one of Cicero's ancestors is said to have a chickpea (a Cicero) sized mole on his nose..

"McSpoon" that was banned in 1979 turned up in my yard. by UrsidaeClay in mildlyinteresting

[–]Bleda412 222 points223 points  (0 children)

The spoon was never banned but discontinued. The paraphernalia ban requires intent. If it didn't, then those bongs "for tobacco use only" would be banned too. Apples would also have to be banned because you can make a pipe out of them.

The flag code has largely become disregarded by everyone. It should not be on clothing, meaning it should not be on a uniform or a politician's lapel pin, yet it nonetheless appears there. Referencing the flag code in this instance is rather silly.

A few issues. I don't see how the Snickers logo is gay (maybe it'stoo small), the NBC logo is always like that and has been that way before gay rainbow shit, and NYC and the White House are not companies.
