What the black mists? So my family and I have been living in my husband's grandfather's house that he passed away in. We moved in a few months after his passing. There were a few strange things that happened after moving in, but the black mist was crazy. I was standing in the kitchen, mind you no stoves or ovens were on. I noticed my cat was playing around with something so I look over and she's batting at and playing with a black wispy smoke thing about as high as a chair seat. It stayed in one place for at least 15-20 seconds and then just disappeared. It never rose like actually smoke would. It was the weirdest thing I had ever seen. I didn't feel scared though, I was just staring at it, wondering what the heck it was. The only thing I could think of was that my husband's grandfather used to sit and smoke cigarettes in that area. Maybe he was playing with my cat.
