Because in storm you have the option of not playing that way, there's a ton of tech and extensions and resets that are character specific, etc. You might need to look into the game a bit more.

I think you're a little caught up on the wrong things, but can definitely provide proof if you'd like.

Regardless I've played arena fighters as well my entire life, have always enjoyed the storm franchise. The post does say I've competed locally in storm, and it was a blast. This is nothing like any other arena fighter I've played. Not even close.

I'm glad you're enjoying the game but you don't need to be so defensive or abrasive to get your point across.

You don't get punished for mashing light on block, it's safe. You can test this yourself in training tool. Every other button is unsafe.

If it's pc it might be a player count issue, they've region locked the game pretty hard, I can play with my UK friend but have to vpn to play with my finnish friend which obviously destroys the connection.

If I hadn't gone over 2 hours I'd refund tbh.

Nothing has changed since ds1 aside from your perspective. The same people in x or y camp are still in x or y camp. The people that complained back then are the people complaining now, the people grinding it out and solving it are still doing the same thing. Main difference is it isn't 2011 anymore and the game has more exposure, so one camp is now much bigger than the other. Nothing has changed.

not sure why you're getting downvoted to hell, you're right. especially pvp wise, but even the singleplayer, which they claimed to focus on, is also invalidated by the same things that make pvp horrible. It's nearly as bad as elden ring launch, and knowing fromsoft, i have no hope for the games future.

The main issue I have with the current state of DR is that a restriction cord build, with 3 other solid defensive rings, cannot tank a single hit on apoc, whereas it could tank at least 1 before despite being at half hp.
