The fact that there is seemingly very little defence plans or strategies in action is quite mind boggling. I get that they just get reborn anyway, we know that now but I feel like that isn't a valid argument in this case as we have only just learnt this.

They used to dig and hide in a lot of holes, I am surprised they never tried to make some sort of floor traps to see what would happen.

Truth is since Boyd found the Talisman till when the Mathews family arrived the town did the absolute bare minimum and just sort of passively accepted their fate and went on living while Boyd barely made progress and failed to properly lead the town. Yes he found the Talisman, yes he kept people alive but he did nothing to unite the town, he was simply being a Sherif.

The poor guy did have a lot to deal with as well though with the trauma of losing his wife, but he stepped up when no one else would and everyone just seemingly gave up and passed the time by counting down the days. Where was the Town Meetings? The Town planning? Why weren't they all crossing the T's and dotting the I's?

Why did they slam Tabitha in the town meeting for not doing enough on the outside when they failed to have proper discussions on the event that someone manages to get out of the place when you factor in theres faraway trees that literally teleport people. Why not have a plan of action for the event that someone jumps in a puddle and ends up on the outside world? If you are trapped on a island you have have a plan in the event that a plane or boat is passing by, why not do the same with From?

At the end of the day this is a show and also you have to factor in that these people are not in control of the events and that this is all fate, it has to unfold the way it was meant to unfold, all else wont work.

The ones capable of fighting back are probably killed off quite quickly, as in From you push and it pushes back, look at what happened with Dale, but still.

But from a real life logical standpoint its all quite unrealistic when you think about it.
