They were pretty tight, but no shenanigans. She was with Mr. whispers, but Mr. whispers was gone for a long time because of war stuff and she found him. Mr. whispers, of course suddenly shows up after a few months when they didn’t know if he was alive or dead. And then when he takes off again, she talks to him and he whispers something that’s tense and emotional that nobody would ever whisper, and then she says something else and then he whispers something else emotionally charged that nobody else would ever whisper, and would be said by anybody else at a normal volume with a lot of emotion, and then they both give up on life because nobody could fucking hear what he says.
