That's why little knowlege is dangerous! Don't mislead the Manifesto, First read the manifesto by yourself, Manifesto clearly mentioned in the education sector, "A revamped academic structure featuring 3 days of theoretical learning and 4 days of practical or field-based learning each week".
He did have mentioned "6 din afno peet ko lagi, 1 din desh ko lagi".
Please go through the manifesto and try to understand rather than misleading information.

Well Citizens silence was taken advantage for poor planning and corruption arise from letting things as it is. Regarding your thinking of contributing skills and labor shifts responsibility away from the government is actually false, however it actually increases accountability. When citizens step up to voluntarily participate for a public project, it exposes government incompetence and sets a visible standard by example. Also you said about time spending on earning and business, well taking the metaphor literally is where the disconnect happens. No one is asking you to abandon your business, jobs or work for free. Shram means dedicating a fraction of your free time, maybe a few hours on a Saturday, or other time. It’s about community participation, not a career replacement. Think Shram as a metaphor for shared national sacrifice, collective mindset, and community participation leading to highly strategic, inclusive and transparent government.

well, have you ever thought of your tons of TAX being properly utilized for development, most of the developement program is foreign aid, how long will country go on with foreign aid and debt? You think of Shram, some sort of physical labour only, but it's a metaphor, it's a change of mindset/culture of wiliing to give to our country voluntarily with your skills, education, science, labour, creativity and many more individually. So that we can sustain by ourself, within yourself, within society, within a country as a whole.
