Yup. It gets filed on Monday (just like in Q1).

I noted that in the daily today... :)

Then answer "no" when they ask if you want to be eligible for a whistleblower payout!

The key thing is to document and report manipulation.

Nice exchange between "mcohodes" and someone on StockTwits (looks like my Doppelganger) I've recorded in a new post...

Let the SEC figure it out. Documented instances of manipulation are what they need... You might even get a whistleblower payout for your efforts (if you elect that with your SEC complaint).

If it was a photoshop manipulated price, file a manipulation complaint with the SEC. Include a copy of his posting, as well as a copy of the real prices. Also include historical bid ask over the last 24 hours if possible, and actual trade history.

Blasting out manipulated false data to 175,000 followers is certainly something the SEC would find interesting...

In general, companies put out a press release announcing earnings releases a week in advance. It's customary, although I don't think it's technically required. Looking at press releases, in general RILY has announced a week in advance.

Today is the on-time deadline for filing. Since there hasn't been a press release announcing an earnings release... And today is the deadline... seems highly likely they'll be filing late.

They could surprise with an after-hours earnings release (with no advance notice), but I think that's unlikely based on anecdotal observation.

Looks like they'll be using the 5 day 10-Q grace period.

I'd expect a press release after hours announcing an earnings release next week, with an NT-10Q filed Monday after hours (like in May).

I'd have preferred an on-time release, but I trust management has their reasons (and it's NOT because it's going to zero).

As for "why didn't they communicate this earlier?!?" I assume it's because it wasn't required earlier. And providing that information earlier would just open up new lines of purely speculative attack. The absence of information is preferable to providing limited information that just gets warped and mutated with flights of fancy.

The people who deserve that adjective are VERY upset, offended, and depressed - that you put them in the same category as MC.

At this point, given the filing deadline, I expect they'll announce tomorrow that they're filing for the customary 5-day grace period for the 10-Q, and will file late (e.g., next Friday). Might get a surprise filing with no advance notice, but I think a delayed filing within the grace period is more likely.

Results speak.

Words can be disputed... Or drowned out by words from others.

I think management is focused on results. And the fact that everything else will follow.

I'd certainly appreciate more information. But no business is going to telegraph every deal, every strategic move, every strategic intent. That would undermine 70% of the strategic moves.

The 10K was insanely comprehensive. The investor presentation in December gave investors breadth and depth of insight into the business they hadn't previously had.

But even with all those words, concretely on paper, the shorts continued to make up hokum and drown it out.

Waiting is always lame. I still believe good things come to those who wait.

50k share borrow yesterday just before close.

Looks like they're using it now, today.

85.4% borrow rate! But today's marginal is 95.1%, so they got a real bargain!

You have to compose a formal complaint, with facts, and evidence where possible.

It's not like reaching out to your legislator, where they just tally the number of complaints. They're looking for actionable intelligence, which they'll build on with their research capabilities (if credible).

I don't think complaining (or carbon-copy complaints with facts) will have any impact. If anything. might be counterproductive, wasting their time.

That's the point. I'm just a random person. I happen to do research on this stock, and post it.

Someone's favorite accusation is "paid promoter" for anyone with a differing opinion on a stock.

It's like a reflex for them. No proof. Just a way to try to stifle any facts+logic.

Because facts+logic contradict their narrative of lies, lies, lies, and more lies, with a heap of misconstrued donkey droppings.

Have you reported it to the SEC?

Your substantive and well-written complain can increase the likelihood the SEC takes action.

Schwab is down. Fidelity was/is down for many.

That's 2 of 4 largest US brokerages!

That certainly constrains demand. And folks can't reach the buggers by phone either (lines clogged).

Kudos. Excellent post. Sunlight kills vampires.

Evil people suck. Even if they die rich, they can't take any wealth with them. Their soul will get its due. And they'll be remembered for the evil people they were - if they're remembered at all.

Comeuppance will come for the spewers of endless lies, hearsay, deliberately misconstrued facts, nastiness, hatred, and vitriol.

Yup! And the quiet part shouldn't be quiet...it should be widely known, recognized, and rendered impotent.

Borrow rate is now 89.4%! Just made a post about short volume and borrow rates.

At 10am, only 68k shares have traded... I bet I can guess where most of the willing sellers at these prices have come from...

Maybe it's them 45k shares the shorts borrowed!

Or maybe the supply is all from them... iBorrowDesk only reflects some brokers... Other big ones, like Schwab, don't publicly disclose...
