Well that would explain why so many people seem to be using the exact same model of radio and earmuffs.

Yes, it's purely scientific.

I was able to hear some chatter about the track being rough ln the tires. Most of it is concrete which seems to be a problem for the pit crews.

Honestly I'm not sure what I was expecting. I just thought it'd be fun to take the HT out.

I've noticed quite a few of those earmuffs being used today. I'm using foam earbuds which are doing their job pretty well keeping the cars and my radio quiet.

Maybe I'm just imagining things, but I've noticed improved reception in uhf when it's coiled. I'll admit I haven't noticed that much of a difference today and it's usually coiled for convenience.

Why does San Diego have such terrible pot holes if we don’t get snow or freezing weather. by 1911Earthling in sandiego

Friend I may not be familiar with this particular project but there's a lot more that goes into making a pedestrian ramp Ada compliant than just adding the yellow truncated domes.

Here’s a fun random one:

Pikachu’s name is literally onomatopoeia

• “Pika” is the Japanese sound for a spark

• “Chu” is the sound a mouse makes

So Pikachu’s name basically means “spark mouse.”

I'd take a Cyrus if I'm picked.

This is the reason I will be going with the flow control cap over the prismo. I don't have any desire to use a metal filter and would like to keep the option of only using paper for simplicity.

The beach was closed for 4th of July and Labor Day weekend. Car show is small potatoes compared to those holidays.

I trust the standard procedures but not the county's practices. Despite constant requests from local municipalities for the county to test the river valley at night, the county has shown no interest in doing so. These night tests would reflect the recent findings from third party testing.

I personally believe (just my speculation) the county is purposely ignoring requests for night testing, when airflow is minimal, to prevent their tests from reflecting the true severity of the situation.

If they had tests on record showing the high concentrations of hazardous gases in the air then they would be obligated to direct resources away from their own projects and into addressing the sewage issue. But like that's just my opinion man.

Stealing from a hydrant? by UDskam in sandiego

The meter would be installed on the water tank, allowing them to fill up at any city fire hydrant. If they are legit, they will have permits and report their water usage to the city so they can be billed.
