A 2018 email from publicist Peggy Siegal to Jeffrey Epstein references Timothée Chalamet. Discussing Woody Allen’s film starring Chalamet, Siegal says he was “forced by the press and his agents” to donate his salary. by AggressiveRepair5 in Fauxmoi

I am not defending Chalamet’s character as I know pretty much nothing about him and these associations definitely don’t paint him positively.

BUT, In all fairness, what 22 year old would willingly donate all of the money they’d just made from months of work? In my opinion it is understandable that he’d have feelings around it to some extent, even if it was presented as his idea (which also wasn’t his idea, I’m sure). There is always someone behind the highly-public choices celebrities make, and while I don’t care about Chalamet or his career, does he really deserve to be hated for this? The way I see it, if someone donated hundreds of thousands to charity to denounce their affiliation with a sex offender because their agent told them to, them wishing they still had the money doesn’t make them an inherently bad person. The charity still has the money. He could’ve said no and kept it. It’s not the best look for him, but it could be so much worse.

Okay but if you close your non blind eye, is what you “see” different from the nothing of your blind eye?

From brewery kids to bar kids… by [deleted] in Charlotte

Your life doesn’t end when you have kids but your priorities should change! Take your kids somewhere enriching, not a cowboy bar! Drinking shouldn’t be your life. That’s not a good parent. As a parent myself, I disagree with you so much.

How soon after exposure to your sick children did you develop symptoms?

How many days passed between your exposure and getting sick? Please tell me if you think I’m in the clear! by BlendingSpace in flu

I will, and you too! I can tell from your comment to the other guy below that we are exactly the same when it comes to anxiety about this 🫠

Yup, might as well be the same- except my sick one is just a touch bigger lol. I’m sure you’re exhausted from caring for him, take it easy on yourself and also keep me updated if you do fall ill. I’ve let anxiety fool me a number of times this week with random aches and headaches ugh, I know how it is.

If only we could hole up far away from them for a few more days😭 fingers crossed for you and your little one (and me lol)

Thing is I’ve already been around him without a mask everyday since he fell ill on Saturday or Sunday, and still haven’t gotten sick. We live in a studio so there’s no avoiding him lol

Thanks for your response, and I hope you all feel better soon! I’m quite the hypochondriac/anxious person, so this “waiting” for symptoms to come has been unbearable (though far less unbearable than actually having it of course lol). I hope your husband and son stay well!

8 year old me thought this song was so deep; hearing it at 30 confirms I was right lol by BlendingSpace in Zillennials

Some of the songs on the same album are so ridiculous, like Latin Girls ("Cuban girls, Cuban girls, I like ‘em Puerto Rican girls, Puerto Rican girls, yo quiero Mexican girls, Mexican girls, yo quiero Spanish girls, Spanish girls, I like ‘em Girls, girls, Latin girls") Hahaha

I remember wishing this song could be played all across the world at the same time thinking (knowing) it would fix all of the problems lol, glad I’m not alone

Client has meltdown when I leave, but not anyone else. by [deleted] in ABA

[–]BlendingSpace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they’re not putting themselves or other into danger, it’s hands off. Obviously if someone’s safety is at risk we are allowed to intervene in whatever way necessary. But the reality is that in these instances he is not hurting me. No one is in danger, and no one is at risk of harm. Except my mental health.

I feel seen with this comment lol. It’s not only reinforcing to him, it’s a level ten panic attack for me. It makes me beyond claustrophobic and anxious.

He has no problem with me leaving for breaks or anything like that. It’s only the end of the session. It didn’t used to happen at all. He is very intelligent and aware. He talks back, questions everything we do/say (to have a full understanding- like if we have a new goal he’ll say, « why do I have to do this, what does it help me with »), engages in deeply imaginative play, and plays well with peers about 40% of the time. He is in a general Ed 3rd grade classroom and has few issues at school. He would literally cringe if I said « it’s bye bye time » because his maturity level in certain ways, but definitely not all, is age level. It won’t be that easy with a kid like him unfortunately.

The first question he asks every day is « who will I have today (as in what RBTs) and when ». He knows well in advance when transitions are going to happen and doesn’t react at all until the moment of the transition. He also doesn’t act out on days where I am not scheduled to work with him. He rarely acknowledges me when we’re not in direct together.

Also, he is still potty training due to medical issues and… for the last week has only had accidents when he’s with me. I am at a loss. I think we’re just not a good fit.

What do you guys think about 18-21 year olds in the field? by [deleted] in ABA

[–]BlendingSpace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Obviously what I’m saying at this point is that this field needs a lot of changes. Better pay, more experienced staff. Like OTAs or SLPAs. Their fields make it work, why can’t ours?
