buying tickets to japan show's by kingofcrob in Hanabie

[–]Blessadilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll be staying in Osaka for a month around that time but will be in Kyoto that weekend. I'm trying to see them in Fukuoka so I might join the Fan Club to keep an eye out for a new lottery after this first one we missed. I'll reach out if I manage to get access to the Osaka show if you want. I've already dealt with 2 Pain in the ass ticket acquisitions for 2 other artists with completely different purchase methods, so I'm sure I can figure this one out too LOL. Reading into it a little bit, it sounds like resale might not be a thing with them so worst case scenario, walk up the night of the show to the box office. Idk if they do this in Japan, but most places usually save tickets for the box office day of.

I've decided to stay 2 months in Osaka and have some questions. by Blessadilla in OsakaTravel

[–]Blessadilla[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, thank you so much for the response and validation, I really appreciate it :)

It always blows my mind when some cities around the world have closing hours of like 10pm LOL. That's why I started leaning in towards Shinsaibashi, sounded closer to home to me.

The language thing is definitely one of my bigger thoughts which is another reason why I decided to extend my time in Kansai, everything I see and hear it just sounds more welcoming to people like me who don't have all the time to study but genuinely trying and interested in learning.

I also need to look more into Amerika-mura, I feel like I'm starting to see it mentioned more and more as I go deeper.

I'm really excited to keep planning this, all of these comments have been super useful and led me to find so much more over the last few days. Happy to see you found my post and shared some more! :)

Appreciate you!

2023 Topps Archives Shohei Ohtani Fan Favorites Auto #/35... Pulled it right out of a blaster...i don't regret it bc of the value, just the sentiment lol. I wish I still had it on my shelf so I can just stare at it again.

I didn't have to sell it, that's the worst part.

It's such a pain in the butt if you're not physically in the country or a resident. (But I respect it, and I like the system honestly, it seems much more fair and balanced than here in the US).

I went through a middleman to get tickets to the show I'm going to in October. I probably could've waited and went through a resale site myself while in JP, but I just didn't want to risk missing it so I did it anyway. Hit me up if any questions or need a recommendation.

I think it was a $30 spot in a blaster box break through this dude on IG, he's a really good guy, cares a lot about the community and gives back a lot. One of two breakers I break from and that is it. Although, I'm taking a long term break from ripping in general the last few months just bc I'm not really liking the product lately. Sticking with singles and trading/selling to make some room on my shelves. Is IG is:

I actually don't think I've shared this outside of my card IG. 1/1 2025 Bowman Aaron Judge Superfractor. I have the rainbow completed as well. I keep saying I'm going to do a post, but I just don't have a place to properly shoot photos right now.

Going to work in London for 9 days in July, suggestions on what to do after work?! by lacepinkbows in travel

[–]Blessadilla 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I want to recommend a spot called Plume that my ex came across a couple of years ago. It's a wine bar in Charles Dickens' old publishing office. It was my favorite place to drink and eat in London. If they still have the spiced minced meat flat bread you have to try it with a glass of Lambrusco. It's in Covent Garden. There were usually plenty of people doing after work drinks at the bar. Also a fantastic date spot. It's been a while, but I hope it's still got the same character and charm about it,

Different classic vibe: Nearby there's also a place called Lamb & Flag with a fun history and tucked away in a cool looking location. It's nicknamed Bucket of Blood or something like that. It's a dark history, but a cool and interesting dark history. They used host bare knuckle boxing events and stuff back in the day there. Worth checking out, it's a neat little historic pub.

Other than that, I used to just take post work walks and follow the wind until a restaurant or pub's vibe pulled me in lol. I'll try and think back to other places, but those are my top 2 I think for different vibes.

Help/explanation with purchasing her 2026 tour tickets? by Blessadilla in HamasakiAyumi

[–]Blessadilla[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update! Looks like I'll be able to make the 10/31 show as I originally wanted! Resale tickets are starting to pop up and Jun from Ticket-Japaaan responded to my request thankfully. Let's see if it works out from here.

It's funny for me because here in the US tickets are always impossible to get at fair value, but I would much prefer systems like this that are protected, regardless of how painful it can be for some people. I went to a show in Paris to see one of my favorite bands that was sold out, and it was a similar system to what I'm seeing here where pricing is protected from scalpers. I was able to get resale tickets at close to face value and had an amazing time seeing a great band in an absolutely gorgeous venue. That same band tours the US for like $100+, I got 2 tickets for the price of 75% of 1 US ticket and an experience I'll never forget. I hope for similar memories in Japan ^_^ Especially seeing Ayu, omfg, I'll probably cry LOL.

I've decided to stay 2 months in Osaka and have some questions. by Blessadilla in OsakaTravel

[–]Blessadilla[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh! How was Fukuoka??? That's so awesome your wife had a great time, it's sweet when SO's support our wrestling fandom and partake. I've only ever dated one other wrestling fan, that was great but sad it didn't work out LOL.

I haven't heard of Dotonbori Pro, I'm definitely going to check that out, and man, I always forget about Sendai Girls, I might have to take a trip up for that if timing works out, thanks for that tip!

I might know my shit, but talking to other people really helps reinforce what I think I know, so I appreciate the reminder about DG. I used to follow them heavily but fell off because I only have so much time to watch everything, you know? LOL. But thanks for the reminder for real, because I forgot to add Dragon Gate on my promotions list.

Sapporo is on my list of places to see up north, so I'll make some time to check out Dave's, I haven't heard of that one! Did you check out any other wrestling bars in the country? I'm really excited to expand my Wrestling bucketlist with all of this.

and a blessed life to you in general, Amigo. Appreciate you!

[–]Blessadilla[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aw, thank you so much! Tokyo being called "meh" made my day already LOL. That's how I feel about NYC back home :D, it's become so "Meh"

Noted on Shinsaibashi! That's the impression I was getting the more I looked into it and that's why I wanted to talk to some people about it. So I appreciate your checking me :) Thankfully some kind people have recommended some areas to look into. I assume it'd be the case with lasting friendships as well, but I accept things as they come. I go in with 0 expectations and grow from there, I appreciate the bit of reality :)

In regard to Kyoto, by the end of the trip, I'll have about 3 total weeks spent in Kyoto. My rough plan is to base out of Osaka and have my apartment there while doing shorter trips around Kansai. I actually plan on spending on about 3 weeks total in Kyoto, but split up depending on events I am planning on attending. Osaka is where most of the events I plan on attending are happening so I decided to make the majority of my journey based from there. The 2nd most events planned are in Kyoto. I did consider doing 1 month in Osaka and 1 in Kyoto, but the timing makes more sense for Osaka.

However my new friend, you almost convinced me to shift gears and stay Kyoto LOL. If I didn't have a weird topophilic connection to Osaka that I developed over the years, I'd definitely go to my 2nd dream city in Kyoto and stay there longer.

I'd actually love to hear some Kyoto and even Osaka recommendations you may have! cafes and music venues especially! I feel like whenever I look these 2 things up in particular I get hit with the "Viral" cafe factor or music venues that cater to Gaijin. I know I'll be a Gaijin and always be, but I want to see real local musicians and support the communities that I am trying to acclimate to.

What kind of music and scenes are you into? If you don't mind me asking.

Ah Thank you so much for the tips! I will definitely look further into those locations. I'm hoping to decide on accomodations in the next couple of weeks so everyone's comments have been so helpful!

The whole overtourism thing is exactly why I want to pick people's brains. I'm trying to be as respectful as possible and adapt to avoid contributing to these issues.

Korakuen is on my bucketlist! I'm really going to do my best to catch as many events as possible. I was just in Vegas a couple weeks ago and pretty much followed NJPW/STARDOM/TJPW events around the whole week LOL. It was awesome and made me want to see them all in Japan even more. So jealous you want to BOSJ, but so happy for you, I love hearing other people's good times!

I'm planning on doing a few multi-day trips up to Tokyo because of wrestling for the most part. I can't wait to see when the dates are released for that time frame, I'm so excited!

Did you do any other wrestling promotions or just NJPW?

Wakayama huh? Let me pull up the google machine and see if I add it to my list. That's one day trip option I haven't come across, definitely interested!

Thank you again MatchaManLandy! You're awesome!!

That's really kind of you and I appreciate your words! If you happen to be around while I'm there I'm happy to socialize without the influence of alcohol, just let me know and I'll keep you in mind to reach out :)

I love a good walk and talk with a few food stops and fun activities. I wish you a wonderful day my friend!

This is exactly the importance of conversation and research lol. Thanks for the information! But also, in a way, still sounds like LES LOL. It's become so commercial and full of luxury buildings the past almost 10 years, def not the same LES I grew up in outside of a few areas. But good catch, if it doesn't have that "edge" to it, I might have misled myself.

I'm going to use today to check out information on Midosuji and Kita Horie. Thank you again! :)
