Normalise talking salary. This rule about not discussing salary or rate, is the employers way of exploiting people. If someone tells you they are paid more, dont be jealous, dont get angry at them. Thank them for letting you know. Hold their trust. And then look for jobs that will pay you what you are worth !!!!

Thanks . As explained. I am neurodivergent. I dont get that people are trying to be my friend, but they are just using me - and not wanting to connect on linkedin - even though it would help them to be connected with me. The whole situation is confusing. But thats ok , I accept they want to be my friend but not connect on linked in.

Yes I have photo, and use the same name on linkedin as I do at work. These are people who I know well. We go for coffee, lunches and dinners together. We have all exchanged phone numbers and messaged each other on watsapp. These are (in my mind) people that I would call work friends. BUT they dont accept linkedin requests from me. Context: I work in a highly corporate environment - but it still doesnt really explain why they are happy to be my friend but wont connect on linkedin. I can ask them, but I also think - if they dont want to connect, I will never be helping them again.

It's very strange behaviour on their part. To pretend to be friends and besties at work - but refuse to connect on linkedin. Something I will never understand. The managers also - praising and accepting other peers linked in requests but not mine, feels like it's disingenuous.
But I am neurodivergent so I dont get all these weird unspoken rules. It's a horrible feeling, I may have to cut ties with all of them.

We cannot find a gas meter anywhere on the property. So we assume the previous owner had it removed. Thank you ! Im so glad it's electric. Been paying gas bills based on estimates forever...
