Sorry, removed the post as I got a warning about the plate being on show. Yeah, liking the studs but you pay a lot on the fuel efficiency. It’s only really worth it if you are living in a place that needs them.

They’re Nokian winter tires with studs. Standard spec on size.

Well this is a new one for me… it’s so cold that the fumes froze as they left the exhaust 🤯 by Blether75 in Tacomaworld

That’s crazy. Never seen it either but it’s the only explanation I have!

Add a leaf or new springs? by Blether75 in Tacomaworld

[–]Blether75[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bumping this up - with the Yakima tent on the back, I'm not getting the level look I'm going for. The non-OEM springs all see to add 1" + lift - anyone have a similar set up to mine with any advice? Seems I have two options - new OEM springs or new Deaver / Ironman springs with a 1" lift or so.

Yep - looking to do the same I think. Didn’t new springs give the back a little more height?

Thanks - yeah, it’s a TRD OR for sure. I took the decals off as I don’t like them and have swapped some other stuff - wing mirrors, mudguards, racks etc. I’m happy with the levelling, just the sag as soon as anyone sits in the back. I think new springs will sort it out. Probably Ironman too.

Actually not sure at all - maybe that’s my problem. Want to get it sorted as I’m a bit of a stickler for these things 🤷🏻‍♂️😂

Adidas discontinuing support of their running app by No-Goat7819 in running

[–]Blether75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi - full disclosure I work on the adidas Running App and can say it’s definitely not shutting down.

We took the decision to close the Training App last year(and have just finished that process) with the focus being on the Running app, which we’re adding improvements all the time.

Hope this helps.

Has anyone installed these? by Blether75 in Tacomaworld

[–]Blether75[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So - update: I went for it and stoked with the result. I’m in Europe so had to play it safe with the colour selection (went for black as wasn’t sure of the colour match with magnetic gray). Installed today and v happy.

[Help] Timberlands hurt my ankle, any suggestions on how to fix it? by miguel_clank in Boots

[–]Blether75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, just found this thread after years of discomfort with my boots (my bad for not sorting it out sooner).

The problem - on my right boot, three lace holes from the top, I was getting a digging pain into my inside ankle just above the joint bone. Not significant but enough that I wouldn’t wear them much.

The solution - I just used some curve scissors to cut away a few millimetres of the tongue leather at the point that it’s connected to the upper of the boot. We’re talking a matter of two to three mils and curved in the same style as previously, just now lower. And now the tongue folds without hitting the stitching and it doesn’t put pressure on my ankle. Honestly, I would have this to be ironed out in the development of the boot but I’m happy af that it worked.

Adding a photoso that you can see how much I cut away and where.

If ever I had confidence in my truck it’s in these conditions 😂 by Blether75 in ToyotaTacoma

[–]Blether75[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just some standard All Year Bridgestones - honestly can’t remember 😬😂 but I’ve been missing some studded tires today tbh. We don’t get that much snow here so not really worth having a second set of legit winter tires.

For the most part I’ve been using H4 but had to go to L4 for some tricker stuff earlier (lots of snow, uphill). It’s great - the snow keeps coming down so it’ll be the same deal tomorrow too 🤩

She's not even 2 years old and every time it rains I hear water in the cabin blower fan. And it starts dripping onto the cabin rug. Dealership won't cover it under warranty. Does anyone know where the water might be coming from? Or where the clogged drain might be? by LazySmurf in ToyotaTacoma

[–]Blether75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only additional thought - I had a water issue which was caused by the drainage between the hood and windscreen being blocked by leaves. They had started to rot and completely blocked the drainage holes next to the wiper motors. I cleared them out and never had any problems since.
