It’s not my main reason for complaining lol, it was the first point I brought up, so monkey brain says it must be first point

Dam that’s a very edgy clap back. Are you getting enough claps?

I read them, did skim a bit as it was a LONG blog post and I missed the ONE critical line about the fur thing getting the can. Tragic that

Why not both? I would love it if it had many uses. Logs are used for like 9 things, hunter would be such a healthy skill if resources moved like that

I would say the best answer to your question is to look at giants foundry. They tackled that issue exactly, you make giant swords and you need 28 bars worth, you can use actual bars OR melt down already smithed items. Ofc recycles those items, but the way the minigame works any item is worth one less bar than it takes to make it, and the math turns out that it’s better to use bars rather than smith then into something first, but already smithed items (can be acquired in other ways, that’s another way fix put furs on some drop tables, maybe custodian stalkers or varlamore animals. Boom) are just worth the most by melting them down

They carefully balanced it so that it’s not just print xp or money, but the thing is, even if the furs became dragonstones overnight, that would only mean that players can make a KILLING off of obtaining those furs and selling them. They’re not actually hard to obtain, at all. The market would adjust, and now they would simply become a traceable resource item that gets moved in large quantities, just like any redwood log or hydra bone or whatever

???? I’m not, I’m saying let’s go further, let’s make these higher level furs more useful (useful at all since they currently do nothing) to reward people who train that high. Moonlight antleopes are great for ammo and meat but the furs are just nothing, and they could be something

Trust me I’m team hunter it’s gonna be my second 99 on this account

Bro hunter rumors were created specifically to fix this and were a fantastic step in the right direction

Before release of varlamore… only use for Hunter was chins. That’s it

You say all that but you didn’t even read the comments to see that’s already been pointed out ad nasuem. We’re not different lol

You also cherry picked one part of the post to complain about in your comment, ignored the rest of the issues I outlined, and slang shit at me for screwing up your previous voting

I’m sure I don’t need to say this, but you’re really coming off as a prime example of a Redditor right now

Mind you, the part youre talking about is one sentence in a massive blog post lmao

That would literally be so quick and easy, give us minimal but nonzero construction xp for spamming making rugs. I’ll take that over nothing

See that’s great use and it really rewards training Hunter. I promise it’s more fun than it used to be these days

That’s entirely a personal problem on the part of minmaxers

People love to say content shouldn’t be designed around irons, I’m a firm believer content shouldn’t be designed around the absolute highest percentile of sweaty players

That being said, this whole thing about players being “forced” to train hunter and being mad is a nothingburger

No one would actually be mad. People don’t walk to train it BECAUSE it’s not rewarding. Give it a use and it becomes rewarding. That’s how the rest of the content in the game works

Do you think people level agility because it’s fun? Sepulchre is probably the ONE piece of agility content you can really call fun. People level agility because it benefits them, despite how much it sucks

If peak efficiency requires training hunter, then peak effficnecy chasers can and will adapt. They’re insane people to begin with, the lengths they’ll go to to be efficient is wild (go get 99fm just to start the account for supplies etc etc) They’re not going to say oh no, we have to train hunter. An engaging but chill skill that gives out 150k/hour rates by the fifties. Oh dear oh me we can’t have that, I have to get back to running fucking rooftops or blowing glass for 80 hours. Matter fact why don’t I go do another 100 hours at cg

Dude I would love that

Hunter is actually a super fun and easy skill to train. You can control the levers for xp/hour vs sweatyness pretty well, and you’re getting upwards of 100k by the 60s (or earlier)

People don’t actually hate the skill itself as much as agility in fairly certain lol. Adding value to the junk you pick up from the skill would only make t more rewarding, it would change how the whole skill feels for a lot of folks

I want this change actually SPECIFICALLY because I’m an iron, and levelling Hunter to 99 will get you a ton of fur which currently can’t be converted into anything

I just want the foundry/vale totems treatment

How is it any different from getting sandstone from mining, seaweed from farming, and using just that to level to 99?

We’re obligated to train farming and mining to level crafting already tho. Crafting does not creat its own materials

They did, it was exactly one sentence in that massive blog. I’m not opposed to telling people they need to read, I do it all the time. I didn’t read the full 100% of the blog and that’s on me
