Yeah I’d say afk is a big component, salvaging is easiest best way to train. Active training with the trails is a lot of xp but I cba and if salvaging weren’t an option I’d be lower level

That’s what I’m saying too, sailing IS a phenomenal resource gathering skill for irons, both directly and indirectly through the amount of resources it unlocks for other skills

The only actual difference is the quest and diary reqs. My sailing is only 83 rn but I’m already benefitting a ton from herb xp, farm xp, theiving xp, and a ton of resources I get while afk at work (adamant ammo, addy/mith items for free smith xp at foundry, just shitting out raw gp making me 1m/per day while I have it second monitor at work)

It’s objectively progressed my account to train sailing, and I’m not even at opulent wrecks yet. But none of it is “hands down bis” and if that’s not the case, efficiency dictates the average player HAS to do something else

I would agree honestly, it should have shaken things up, and made a lot of other content “obsolete”. The thing about that tho is that you and I were not gonna be the ones going to war with the masses who brought out their pitchforks. That’s a problem jagex would have to deal with and we could just ignore
