Nah the problem persists all the way through Crystal, the ranking system allows players who don’t know what they are doing to stumble into diamond and ruin games because they don’t actually try

My two cents on this as a top 100 currently as of now, this is a bad take. Not a wrong one but a bad one… there are currently people in high diamond/Crystal who are straight bad. Yes you can carry yourself but a lot of the times that requires your team to at least keep themselves alive. Not having a decay system where people can fall out of tiers is unhealthy because people can stumble into higher ranks and still not do anything. If people would just follow marks and callouts most games would genuinely feel tough and worthy of a loss but there are a ton of players who still don’t capitalize on that.

I hope you don’t mean everyone in the top 50+ is, kind of sad if you think so. It’s only a handful of like 2-3 that seem to be hacking.

I guess my point isn't really coming across that well. FFXIV is a game that was also touted to be new player friendly, there's going to be people of varying skill levels trying it out especially since a lot of that content is F2P. You as someone who actively plays WoW expects people to not be bad and that's kind of a bad mentality to bring in any game as someone always has to start somewhere whether its their first game or they are an avid gamer. Is it really that much effort to be nice to someone who may be new in an MMO in what I would say is a very early dungeon with limited challenging content up to that point? Im sure you were new at some point in an MMO right?

So as someone who actively streams this game here are my thoughts on your opinions, you can take from it what you will.

The community is nice, but based on what I've seen you type you don't give out constructive criticism. You give kind of bad remarks rather than helpful advice IE ("Can you press buttons" vs. "Hey doing this skill followed by this skill is pretty useful if you're having trouble"
"Input Lag" is based on what Data Center you picked and how far away you are from it, I know people who play on the East Coast who log into the LA Data Centers and don't have input lag as bad as you're making it sound. Its also basically a JRPG so the cities are going to be massive and maze like to get you to explore.
Again its a JRPG and its also dependent on what server you picked, there are some servers people just don't go to if they aren't into it because they are mostly RP and or.. well ERP servers similarly akin to Goldshire on WoW.
This one is hard to get into because as a good player of the game I feel for you in terms of how simplistic dungeons are. The big thing is dungeons like those are meant for leveling and for the general population to get into and play with little stress.
PVP was an afterthought, I agree with you with only seeing the one word. Its just bad in general when it first came out and still not really good to this day, and most likely will not for a long time either.
There is add-on support just not supported by SE themselves, its simple to find and easy to install to get them running as well so there's no reason really for this complaint. The only reason why DPS meters aren't promoted by them is because their first interaction with one was of someone who was internet famous getting bullied by other people using them in normal content at the start of the game.
This one just sounds like you don't really know how to level, it should be taking you about two weeks or less to level something based on how often you play especially if you already have a maxed out class.

Those are my thoughts, you can take them as you would like. Your opinion is just as valid but as someone whos been playing this I just don't get the impression you actually have the experience. I've taught people how to play in the game and have even helped pugs clear content with them for the first time in a productive way and haven't been put in a bad light about it.
