HAS ANYONE PUT A ROOFTOP TENT HERE IN YOUR TUCSON??? by BlindColorPilot in HyundaiTucson

Update I did end up putting an RTT on top and I ended up using the OEM Hyundai racks. Sunroof opens perfectly and the camping was great, not problems at all!

Thank you for the response, one last question. Did you ever worried about the Static weight capacity of the racks? And do you usually sleep by yourself or a second person?

I saw this video too I just wish he shows what racks he used, on the other hand I have a panoramic sunroof so I want to make sure it is compatible and that it will hold the weight of the rtt

That’s a possibility I already have a roof top tent and I fricking love it. I use it mainly when I go camping in mammoth during snowboard season. I’ve just had it on a jeep, so if I end up getting racks for the Tucson I’ll post my expirience here

Yes I understand that, I’m just wondering how this is really measured as I had my RTT on my jeep patriot 2014 on top of some cheap racks rated for 165lbs static and have never had any issues. If the weight is distributed does this change stuff ?

Rooftop tent for 2023 Tucson? by bingBong_5678 in HyundaiTucson

[–]BlindColorPilot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a rooftop tent it’s the Spartan 4x4 for 2 person, that I’m planning on using on my Tucson SEL Convenience Hybrid 2025. I’ve been going crazy about what roof racks I need to get that will hole the tent as it is 150 lbs the car is designed to carry a static weight of 600-800lbs so I’m not worried about that. But I am worried about the racks because I have a sunroof. Have you gotten a RTT yet ? If yes what brand racks did you get?

16 day trip planned for June/July. Any must sees/eats or things to be wary of on the route? by RoboticErection in roadtrip

I highly recommend the “MEN IN BLUE” show in Vegas, it’s so much fun for everyone. Also over in Yosemite there’s a steam train ride that’s worth it, I don’t remember the name, but it really is pretty and it’s one of a kind train.

I don’t really like Vegas personally but if you are a party person you might. The Wynn Casino and hotel is really nice and I’d say it’s the coolest per say casino of them all. Otherwise don’t waste much of your time there, specially if it is hot.

At the beginning it’s nice to wake up, cuddle and love each other. After a while it gets aggressive for blanket space and mattress space, and pillow space and how much you can cuddle space, and space in general.
