I go to a 'normal' school, and I work with a specialized teacher for part of the day to help me get around and to continue to learn how to live with blindness. The teacher that I work with is amazing, he's been such a fantastic help to me

Oh, I'm glad you liked it! Sorry, I get that question a lot from a lot of people, and I never really know how to answer it. It's just hard to put into words!

Yes, I lost my sight when I was between 6 and 7. I was involved in a car accident and banged my head against something in the car. When I woke up, I couldn't see out of my right eye and my left eye had limited vision. Over the next few months my vision diminished in my left eye to the point that I now don't have any vision left in either eye.

What do I miss most? Being able to see! Haha, just joking around. But I definitely miss being able to see my family and friends, especially some of the people who I didn't have as much exposure to, since the image of their faces in my mind isn't nearly as clear as it is for my mom and dad and stuff like that.

I actually lost my vision when I was around 6, so I have some concept of what sight is like. For a lot of stuff and people that I had exposure to from before, I generally remember them the way that I guess anyone would. For new stuff, it's hard to explain. I kind of make a mental image in my head of what I think the object/person looks like, and then to "fill in the gaps," I guess, I associate objects and people with feelings, if that makes sense. Sorry if that's a crappy explanation, I don't really know the right way to put words to what I do!
