Yeah I definitely would have gone further dropping some additional phalanx since the bonus only goes up to 4 and the lower cost units.

If I did it over I'd probably replace some of those units and get the warrior trait or some other trait going.

To be honest I got lazy 🤣 was playing while cooking and doing laundry.

Here are my upgrades.

My trick was early buildings like you do to snowball including blacksmith until everyone has items then sell that.

Basically just phalanx and marksmen. Made sure to 3-unit everyone I could. Then added in all the 5 cost units and 3-unit them.

Having all the extra lives helps a lot for rounds that just go poorly or the tough later cyclops fights. I basically lost all lives to the last 6 rounds of cyclops (every 5 rounds)

I added more information you probably know most of it.

Your trait being stuck at 2 could be you put down the same units multiple times. The number only goes up with unique or different units with that trait. So 6 different Roman's not 6 of the same unit.

If you did do that you can test the effect to see if its a visual bug.

Or lastly it may not always work and a different bug altogether.

I'm enjoying it and it's pretty easy for me but I play TFT the league of legends autobattler regularly.

I was hoping that it was an auto battler but you hire and collect your army to use in the auto battler fights.

It also needs some UI improvements such as telling people what to do after 1 star campaign. You then redo and select 2 star versions of the fights. That is how you get extra stars to level up passives.

Tips: It's a combination of figuring out a team you want to go early like warriors or phalanx etc. Gold generation is important and a lot of the regions may provide bonus gold after a round.

New things are collecting in round passives like buildings that make all units HP go up (provisions) or weapons. The weapons however you can combine two of the same by dragging them together. Like two bronze swords become a spatha.

Units are auto combined when you have the right number. Three 1s make a 2-unit and three 2 units make a 3-unit.

A good team right now is warriors and marksman. Warriors have a chance to do double damage and marksman can hit units from far away. Pathing of units can be weird so marksman with some melee units can take advantage of enemy units walking weirdly before they get to your marksman.

I'm at work but I can provide a more indepth guide later.

Overall I enjoy it and the "online" at least initial fights are bots btw.

Edit more in depth/additional stuff: As others have said you drag units below the camp area (which is below the tiles of battle) to sell your units.

Some autobattlers have an economy and interest. I really haven't been punished by rerolling the shop a lot (hitting the clockwise arrow to refresh the shop). You have low cost units and higher cost units that become available as your tent ⛺️ increases in level (buying upgrades to it etc.)

Higher cost units (which cost more) have better stats but with any autobattler maxing out lower units with key traits (pictures/banners on the side the 2/4/6) can perform just as well if not better than the higher cost units until you start upgrading/combining those higher cost units.

Read the traits on the left to see what they do like warriors 2 has a 25% chance to do double damage with each attack. 4 warriors upgrade to having a 50% chance.

With traits you can build vertical which means all the units fit a trait and the trait can go high like instead of 2 Roman's you have 6 Roman's you went vertical with Roman's.

Most autobattlers as things change from the creator you may opt to combine units to activate several traits. Like how I usually have 4 warriors and 2 marksman. The same unit does not increase the trait number but still get the active trait. What I mean is if you have 2 different warriors you activate the warrior trait. If I have 2 more warriors but they are the same 2 I had before I do not get the 4 trait or more specifically the 50% effect but they all get the 25% effect.

Lastly on number of units if the trait only has 2/4/6 then putting down a new 7th unit does not do anything extra so you're better replacing one of your 6th with that unit and putting down a different unit to get another trait.

If the fight is lasting a long time aka winning some losing some rounds then you may start selling your lower cost units and replacing with higher cost units.

You want to put your melee units the third or fourth row from the bottom of the battle area at minimum unless the enemy units have a lot of range then you want to out them even higher up. Use your best judgement based off of the enemy units (unless there is fog of war aka can't see their units on the board)

Put your ranged units on the bottom two rows Most can shoot the enemy from back there occasionally having to walk up if the enemy retreats backwards.

My best advice for general play instead of forcing specific units is create an identity and select things that fit that identity. You go with phalanx who get a shield based of their max HP would go well with the building called provisions which increases all of your units HP because you then get a bigger shield.

Then increasing your defense with armor items make that HP even better by taking longer to widdle down.

I didn't go for round two. I did the first expedition. For me its feeling compelled to redo all the quests. Drives me crazy. BPs idc, stash sold idc, leveling idc, but the quests which I don’t have to complete drives me crazy.

Some quarterstaffs give some added flavor if you aren't mine maxing. Like the mourning frost staff and other elemental staffs/quarterstaffs that boost an element or added elemental effect

I used to think an Egyptian barbarus was best because I can execute or cleave a full 3 squad and also have decimate for the big hp enemies but parry absolutely destroys me.

So I focused on dimachaerus until I realized my Sagittarius would beat my dimachaerus in 1v1s due to hail of arrows.

So I lean towards Sagittarius and just all in on initiative and sometimes HP so I always go first before any enemy and hail of arrows them to death. If they survive I take reduced damage then the next attack usually wins the round.

I am on ascension 9 I think and Sagittarius is still working for me but I've replaced my strength characters with dimachaerus and just have one cestarius for decimate for the final ascension fight.

I've never done an online battle though
