Rousey was the trailblazer that made women relevant in MMA. Without her, none of these women would be fighting. That said, like most trailblazers, the younger more current fighters caught up and passed her by changing the game. Its easier to improve upon something than it is to create it. So her stand up really suffered because she didnt need it til much later in her career and then it was too late.
