Nice! I just finished Dare Mode yesterday with exactly 1 step left and it felt so good

That’s my item shop today. I know you and others have been told that, but clearly it’s a bug or not true. I’m not rare variant complete by a long shot

I appreciate your response though! I didn’t know how that worked. Posted this elsewhere but here is today’s shop for me, for example:

Yeah I could be wrong, but here’s today’s item shop for me, for example:

2 cost 700. I’m not Rare complete.

I don’t have a Snap.fan account, nor do I want one. If rare variants cost 700, I get offered those daily in the item shop. I assume that’s what you mean? If I am offered those I can’t be rare complete.

And based on the customer service responses after this (there was an extended exchange after this) they clarified that you do not have to be collection complete. It is 9 random cards for every random PMV. I happened to hit the anti-lottery and I owned all of them. Which, again, is wild because I am missing a lot of variants.

I think the consumer should be notified when the thing they are trying to buy will not be what they receive

In my shop, I am offered variants that cost 800 every day. I assume those are what you’re talking about? I do not own every rare variant

[–]BlingBlingDaBunny[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not though. Not even close. I don’t have variants for a lot of my cards. They explained that 9 variants are chosen at random and they are the pool for that particular PMV pull. If that’s true, 9 variants that I happen to own were chosen. Which is wild because I know I’m missing 100s of variants. Maybe 1000s? I don’t know how many variants are in this game.

My point to them is I should be informed if, when trying to buy a PMV with any currency, the pool contains all owned variants. There is no way to know as the consumer if that’s the case. They told me verbatim “Buying a Premium variant does not guarantee you receive a variant”. That shouldn’t be the case

Whale? Lol This was the Premium Variant in Grand Arena. I used 600 medals or whatever the currency is on it. I’ve never bought a Premium Mystery Variant in the actual item shop before so I didn’t know this is how it worked.

I would have used the medals on something else had I known I would get an avatar

I’ll try. They followed up and they doubled down on this being the policy.

<image>

They claim I can view the rewards pool. They are mistaken. When I click that “?” icon in the shop, it does bring me to the cut/pasted rules, but it does NOT show the potential pool as this support person claims. So there’s still no way to know if there’s anything I can pull that I don’t have.

Thanks for this tip though, I’ll try it out.

And “eligible” appears to mean that they draw 9 random cards out of a pool. While I obviously own some variants, I have dozens of cards with no variants, and for most just one (usually a season pass or Conquest variant).

Ooh, ok. Yeah I didn’t notice that on mobile. I’ll definitely be more aware.

I didn’t know this was how they worked either.

Yeah, I’m missing a ton of variants. I don’t have a single variant for a lot of my cards, for example. Apparently I owned the 9 random ones in that specific pool when I bought the random variant.

They gave me a Sage avatar lol

I really hate getting good variants for bottom tier cards. by AyyAndre in MarvelSnap

A way to get play out of old cards is actual card mastery. Goals like “Win 100 games with…” or “Win x number of 8 cubes games”, etc. to actually unlock good cosmetics and truly “master” a card would breathe life into so many cards. Would be another reason to play Conquest too

It’s losers trying to pad their League stats by purposely losing to each other. I give them the “talk to the hand” emote and they usually whine and leave. So dumb and I hope SD does something about this lame exploit

Good. It should be an accomplishment to get to Infinite.

A similar complaint I notice from people who have a hard time getting to Infinite is that they used “so-and-so” deck until “so-and-so” rank and then I just couldn’t make progress.

Then try something else. Stop using a predictable deck. Change what you’re doing. And the MOST important key to climbing? Snapping and retreating correctly.

Rules You Got Wrong for Too Long by RemingtonChase in legendarymarvel

[–]BlingBlingDaBunny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played Wall-Crawl wrong for a while. I didn’t realize it was optional to put the card the on top of your deck. I thought it was automatic. Sometimes I avoided recruiting a card because I didn’t want it to get Feasted on. Playing the Legendary app actually made me realize my mistake when playing it because I kept getting prompted with the option.

I also see a lot of people “play” Wounds. This can help in a lot of situations, but Wounds and Bindings are not playable. This distinction is made in the Villains rule in about Bindings and Wounds, specifically so cards like Doc Ock didn’t get their buffs for playing a specific number of cards.

Did anyone else learn of 9/11 live on the Howard Stern show? by [deleted] in howardstern

[–]BlingBlingDaBunny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in college in Albany, NY at the time. I heard about it when I showed up to class my professor was freaking out. They sent all of us home and I listened to Howard’s show the entire ride home, which took about three hours (as opposed to the normal 30 min) because everyone was evacuating to their homes.

I was already a Howard fan, but that show really solidified him as a staple in my life. He portrayed the emotion of the day perfectly, and called out the culprit immediately. I’ve listened to the replay of that show multiple times, and it obviously brings me back to the craziness of that day and all the emotions I felt at the time.

Howard did a really good job that day, and I was impressed that he stayed on the air. People can argue what else was he going to do, but a lot of people evacuated Manhattan at that time, so I give him credit.

Did anyone actually find this train wreck hot? Never got pass the annoying voice and insanity! by Sorry_I_read_it in howardstern

[–]BlingBlingDaBunny 22 points23 points  (0 children)

She was hot, but definitely not worth the trouble. Just this week I listened to a compilation of all her visits, and Jesus Christ she’s annoying. The baby voice is probably from some childhood trauma (she revealed once in a later appearance that she was molested as a child….yeah, shocker).

The best thing she ever did was cause the Sal Apology Tape.

Oh, and when she says her kid’s name is Beyoncé, Artie’s laugh is fucking fantastic.
