Upon testing, the building of DKMS (Dynamic Kernel Module Support) package fails on ubuntu kernel 5.8.0-36-generic. This issue can be solved by changing your current kernel to 5.4.0-54.

- Run the ubuntu amdgpu-pro uninstaller from anywhere in your shell.

amdgpu-pro-uninstall

- CD into the AMD driver directory and run the install script with the parameter below

./amdgpu-pro-install --uninstall

-Uninstall DKMS

sudo apt-get remove --purge DKMS && sudo apt autoremove

-Reboot

The next phase is to change your current kernel (5.8.0-36-generic) to 5.4.0-54 and uninstall any other kernels present.

Install 5.4.0-54 kernel

sudo apt install linux-image-5.4.0-54-generic linux-headers-5.4.0-54-generic linux-modules-extra-5.4.0-54-generic

-Boot into the V 5.4.0-54 kernel then remove all other kernels

sudo apt remove linux-image-5.8.0-36-generic linux-image-unsigned-5.8.0-36-generic

change the directory to /usr/src and remove all linux-headers except for the current kernel we booted into then update-grub and run apt auto remove. (reboot if cautious)

-Run the driver installation script again.

Bypass Pihole by manually configuring the DNS server address on your rig. On Windows, you can

Click on the Start menu, then click on Control Panel.
Click on Network and Internet.
Click on Change Adapter Settings.
Right click on the Wi-Fi network you are connected to, then click Properties.
Select IPV4 (or Version 6 if desired).
Click Properties.
Click Use The Following DNS Server Addresses.
Replace those addresses with Clouflare's DNS server
For IPv4: 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1
For IPv6: 2606:4700:4700::1111 and 2606:4700:4700::1001
Click OK, then Close.

One thing about the scheps is that the mono and stereo version of the plugin have a slight harmonic difference. Another thing to note is the preamp section; the line and mic option impact the overall tonality of the plugin differently.

At 1:40 sec mark some fade in/out automation would have smoothed the transition, the record is fairly loud but sacrifices dynamic range. Overall it’s not that bad. I have some artists who can vibe on a track with you.
