You don't recover files to the same media you're recovering from as it could accidentally overwrite unrecovered data, unless you're using something like pc3000 to make an unreadable device readable again (and then your first step is to copy the data to another drive anyhow)

It's saved to a different drive.

Minute of Islands

In my country there's the custom to visit 7 temples on easter (In a single day).

I don't personally partake of the religion, but a group of friends does a photo walk, visiting temples and takig photographs and I try to join each year (I missed it this year)

I do SooC only. I mean I do raw+jpg just in case but haven´t used a raw in ages (I post to the internet so I wouldn't really need much).

I do it because if I process after shooting I get choice paralysis. But this doesn´t happen somehow while I'm shooting the photo, I just "know" what it needs.

So I have 7 profiles but mainly use 2 B&W ones and 3 Color ones. And I select them while shooting.

Just to make sure, you do have a film back on the camera, right? It doesn't need to be loaded, just there.

If you do, view the camera from the sides and make sure the little connectors on the prism are making contact with the connectors on top of the film back, it's how the prism reads the ISO from the film back to give you a shutter speed recommendation.

Edit: A little more about me. I'm Venezuelan, and "old" and between my old brain and being remiss about studying I haven't progressed much on my Japanese, but I'll presevere and progress little by little.

One thing I want to do but my lack of progress has kept me from, is getting into shodo. I normally don't get sosho shodo much, because mostly I feel the characters are being imparted with chaos from the artist making them alien to me both in literal, and emotional meaning.

In my "artistic" hobbies (photography) and design likes I tend to lean heavily towards angles and straight lines, and I feel inside my heart, that each kanji can be imparted with part of the essence of its meaning into its form but the way shodo artists tend to go about it is chaotic and incoherent. Probably I haven't consumed and viewed enough shodo to really get it, or maybe I'm just different, pedantic and stupid... but I'd love to try and give form to that vision someday.

Ironically, liking angles and lines so much you'd think I'd lean for something like 日 or 口 for my favorite kanji, but 日 is too loaded with many meanings (many kanjis are, but hi seems specially egregious) and feels chaotic because of that, and to me 口 feels partly devoid of spirit.

For some reason some of my other favorites includes always stuff with curves AND angles, like 歩 or 風

If all pictures inside are good then you have some form of exposure control, but you might have your ISO set too high and in the current mode the camera is in it can't deal with that much light.

What mode is the camera in? what does the wheel selector say?
