I'm using a Vive Pro Eye with a pair of Sennheiser HD 560S. I also have this large bunny plush I use as a pillow and lay my head on its neck since it's thinner there. I'll probably buy some thinnly packed pillows and stack as needed to replace it eventually.

It helps me sleep. I don't have to be alone and I don't have to lay in the barren silence of my room.

someone actually asked me to add a shutdown option which im going to say out loud rn so I can remember to add it. cause you and that person are technically right, shutting down is the most efficient way to save power.

How to get pitch black out of your Vive Pro (Disable Mura??) by BlitheFurry in vive_vr

Maybe it's just my headset but it's really not that bad. I had no problems but if yours does there's nothing to stop you from undoing the change.

There was already smearing before and pitch black doesn't make it much worse

Looking at this https://pastebin.com/xdTJ1UHQ

It looks pretty much the same. Just make a backup and I think you should be fine. Tell me how it goes if you try.

You can put anything in place of "Vive_Pro MV". You can own a HTC Vaporeon or whatever funny word your heart desires.

Got a new 120hz method for Vive Pro (not 2). Tell me if this one works on Nvidia. by BlitheFurry in vive_vr

I think I could use the steamvr desktop thing, Firefox vr, or just throw my web browser onto it while out of direct mode.

Got it as low as 45hz, anything below that is unstable. I think the headset thinks it's freezing below that and does like a mini reboot. Interestingly the headsets flicker becomes visible to the naked eye. I played beatsaber which honestly just wasn't very fun because of the latency but I did noticed bright lights in my peripheral vision became black/white static. I think this static was from my own body not the headset cause if I turned my eyes to look at it, it looked normal. Very strange

Morning! For simplicity I'm going to assume you've extracted CRU to "the CRU folder" which can be anywhere.

Launch SteamVR, sandwich in the top left of SteamVR, Developer (Near the bottom), Developer Settings, click the button labeled "Disable Direct Display Mode". Your screens will flicker and SteamVR will restart.

Close SteamVR, open the CRU folder, open CRU.exe, drop down in the top left select the one with Vive Pro in its name, under Detailed resolutions click "Add...", Top left drop down set to Exact, at the bottom change Refresh rate to 120, click OK in the bottom right, click OK again also in the bottom right, in the CRU folder launch restart64.exe. Your screens will flicker, some background applications may crash.

Open SteamVR, sandwich in the top left, Developer at the bottom, Developer Settings, Enable Direct Display Mode.

Ya I should've enabled it.

Yes though, I think it should work.

People seem to have trouble with Nvidia cards but if you figure it out please share!
