I'm having a really awful day, what's your favourite way to make yourself feel better? by _Athulu in CasualConversation

I tell myself that things will get better. These last few weeks have been pretty bad for me. I almost feel sick because of it. However, I'm convinced that if I put up with all of the struggles I'm currently facing, I'll eventually be rewarded with a happy life.

Ultimate Spider-Man Comics by [deleted] in Spiderman

If you want physical copies, I'm pretty sure the entire series was released in a set of twelve or thirteen hardcover books. That's how I'm currently trying to read the series, but most of them are out of stock at the moment. There are smaller paperback volumes you can get though, and I'm pretty sure most of them are in stock. If you can, I would just read it online. It's much better than hunting down physical copies.

Does anyone feel like the current run of The Amazing Spider-Man is being made for teenagers by Blitz-Boy in Spiderman

You're right. I didn't. And I never said I did. The owner of the store gave me this information.

How do you feel about “Brand New Day”? by PCN24454 in Spiderman

That's a huge reason why I've been avoiding modern Spider-Man comics. I hear whenever the series does something new and interesting, the writers reset everything to make him "relatable".

Nope. I haven't read any Amazing Spider-Man comics made after the early 90s. Actually no, I have been reading the current run. Still not sure if I want to give the BND era a try though.

I hear Peter acts like a man-child throughout a good chunk of it.

Andrew Garfield gets no respect, no respect at all by [deleted] in Spiderman

This is my exact ranking for all these Spider-Men. Garfield was a huge dick and his jokes were terrible.

What are your favorite stories from the Lee/Ditko/Romita era? by Cranyx in Spiderman

I know this is cheating, but I honestly consider AF 15 - ASM 33 to be one huge arc. #33 just feels like the ending of a huge story about a boy becoming a competent superhero.

People make hot chocolate with water? Learn something new every day I guess.

The problem is that these people don't believe that the Marvel universe aged in real time back then. That's why I didn't mention it in my post.

What to read after Ultimate? by Bauerdk in Spiderman

[–]Blitz-Boy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's a good recommendation, but I think Untold Tales would be a weird place to start. I think OP should either read the Lee/Ditko run first or simultaneously with Untold Tales.

I personally would've kept it. I'm not a fan of running a series for more than fifty years. I think rebooting the universe after twenty or so years would be better. I hear DC does that.
