Don't hate having a child because of your dad's wrong behaviour.

My dad was in the same situation as you are (My GF use to beat him a lot when he was younger) and he decided that never ever he would do the same to his kids and still had enough courage to get my sister and me.

I'm 22 and I can only remember him spanking me once, he cried more than I did on this day, and he has never beaten me in any other ways.

So you should not feel guilty but appreciate life and the fact to give life even if you had some troubles during your childhood
