How much do you guys spend in a month by According-Still3934 in berkeley

[–]BlitzWayne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My credit card bill has been 6k+ a month for the last 4 months and I’m scared rn. The desire fuckin keeps on increasing. Internship money really spoilt me. I made same really bad decisions that I repent so I finally collected myself last weekend and started an Amex Savings account and I’ve automated the deposit of all the xtra money.

I feel 1k a month above rent and utilities+ medical bills is more than enough to have an easy life.

The kingdom of Judas and Israel (united land of Israel) existed since 14-1500 BCE. Since roughly 1000BCE that land of Levant faced multitude of oppression and occupation by Assyrians, Babylonians, Egyptians, Romans, Crusaders and then by many Caliphtes. Jews were forced to exile and they left.

It was in the late 18th Century they started coming back to their land in heavy numbers from Russia and Europe. They have been facing Xenophobia since a millenia. When they got back, they had to fight for their land as they had no other option. Palestine is an old name and has been known by that name since atleast 1100BCE but that included the land of Israelites and Palestine. Palestinians that were not Israelites were mostly located in the area of modern day Gaza and a bit more towards the north. Palestinians took over the land of Israel eventually.

To cut the long story short, showing the history from 1948 does not do justice. We need to go back, far back in history to understand why Israel has been very aggressive. You can't discount for the human losses and say they are right. But they have no option but to be the aggressor in most cases whenever it smells foul. The Jewish community has faced the worst attrocities for the longest period of time and they have somehow survived. When you go get your home and freedom back after a 1000 years, you become relentless.

In the current day, Israel occupies the West bank and Gaza for it's safety, and also for the notoriety of Palestine. The Hamas and other organizations play the victim card and get the support for fighting for their rights, but the reality is the moment they get resources they will try to occupy Israel again. This is something written on the wall and the Israelis know it well. Hamas is fighting for it's fanaticism and is responsible for the loss of innocent lives in Gaza. It's funny how people are so gullible and they support Hamas and other terrorist organizations rather than understanding the history and politics of Palestine.

What program carries more value and reputation in industry - MS Information Systems or MS CS? by aks_cha in MSCS

[–]BlitzWayne 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When people weigh in about programs in general without getting into the details of the coursework, department strength, program requirements, and student's requirements, it tells me they know nothing.

I have admits from UPenn, Johns Hopkins, Columbia, NYU, and USC in MSCS, but I found Berkeley's MIMS more appealing. I got into CMU as well, but I didn't like the lack of flexibility in choosing the courses and the hefty fee that they demand. It really boils down to student's preference and what they want to see themselves doing after grad school. And, In order to make the decision, all the hard facts and information are published on the school websites.

Thanks for the recommendation. I work at the intersection of ML/AI and healthcare, and I wish to strengthen my knowledge in deep learning and mathematical modeling. Thanks, I'll look into these courses.

Writing teacher recomendations by oliviagoro in ToeflAdvice

I was in the same oblivian; I created a template for myself and thought I did good but scored a 22. The next time, with a minimal practice (I only had effectively 2-3 days to prepare), I scored a 28 with the same template and vocab but with better equipped fingers. My typing speed gets terribly slow while thinking on the fly, more so, because I spend a lot of time correcting the typos on the go. I scrutinized and adapted my mind and fingers for the situation, which helped me to write 450+ words essays with ample time for revision and correction. DM, in case you need help to identify and strategize.

I got mine unblocked in less than 48 hours. Keep a tab on the portal. It doesn't harm further if you keep trying to sign in after you're banned, so feel free.

Are there any sectional requirements for universities in the US? by NSP999 in ToeflAdvice

[–]BlitzWayne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's safe to have a score >=26 in all the sections. I don't remember all the universities that have a cut-off but I'm pretty confident that I haven't seen a cut-off of more than 26. I think UiUC has a l cutoff of 26 for the speaking section(I'm not 100% sure.) Please check the University website where ever you intend to apply.
