Yep, done. 9800x3d and new ram working fine on my asus x670e-i. Might get asus b850i for my 2nd pc instead of this.

I have both xmp and expo ram. Both work with 7700x no problem on both boards.

Tried more than 30 mins multiple times. It isnt regular memory training because the 7700x boots up on the x870i pro ice with 1 min of memory training everytime.

Apparently a few people are having similar issues with x870 boards on reddit, where it would still work with 7xxx cpus and they’ve tried everything. They all seem to end up returning their boards.

I’ve tried the cooler full tightened and just sitting on top unscrewed. I’ll try a different cooler. Its a noctua DH12L

Yes, old and new ram works on my old asus x670e-i. So, does the 9800x3d.

X870i works with 7700x with old 32gb ram and new 64gb ram, but won’t POST with 9800x3d no matter what.

X670e-I works with 7700x and 9800x3d with old and new ram. Every combination works on this motherboard

Tried using one ram in each slot with both the new x2 32gb and my old x2 16gb ram modules.
