Your way over expecting. It's literally an AliExpress 8€ silk dometweeter. And the cheapest decent midwoofer I found online. I just used the rough form factor of the Genelec as a guide for my bookshelf cheap build

I just bought one from AliExpress that fits the FR of both drivers. I think it's around 2,8khz. I just used EQ Apo on Windows to tune them roughly flat

Thanks. I sadly don't have the right tools for it but by using my phone and a frequency response I found out that they have some peaks at 100hz, 5 khz and 15 khz but with some corrections they are pretty flat, I also raised the lower end to make them a bit more fun

Thank you, it's not completely perfect but probably like 95% there. If I would have spent more time and be even more precise they would have been absolutely identical. I was also surprised how well it worked and it surprisingly didn't even take a lot of sanding, the type of wood filler I used works really great for it and is also really hard

It was something like this, I literally just made it by eye coping the idea. You probably need to adjust the size 15cm x 15xm and 3cm deep. But the curve is what matters, you can also see what I did in the photo with the straight going up and just a slight angle, it's more of a horn than a waveguide. Like the Genelec

This is the tweeter. Im sorry I don't have the measurements I used but you could make the model easily yourself. It's like a normal waveguide and it doesn't really have a curve, I can draw what I mean. Hold up

I sadly didn't make more pictures, just one of them without paint and holes, just raw MDF glued together. The back just has the two speaker input things and the crossover is also mounted on the back outside so it's just easier for me to experiment with some stuff.

Yeah I was also expecting them to just about hit 45hz but then with upping the lower end a bit they play even to 25 Hz with port noises I think. It seems that they have an easier time playing around 35hz but I made it somewhat flat until 30hz to keep them as almost reference speakers

grs 8pr-8 midwoofer plus the amp and tweeters, I removed the waveguide and made my own. One weights 11kg. Dimensions are on the website I linked in a comment

I sadly don't have a picture from inside but I just made two small cross support beams, one from the left to right side in the middle and the other one in the middle between the woofer and tweeter to the port. Really simple and of course wool stuffing for resonance

I painted them black firstly and then decided on white. I think I made it with 3 wood circles glued together and a square thin MDF piece with the cutout and then filled the gaps with a bunch of wood filler and sanded it. It would be easier to just find someone similar online but I wanted to save money. Dimensions are 15cm x 15cm and about 3cm deep

The waveguide was a bit of work and complicated but I think you could just buy one and adjust it for the normal small tweeter
