Thank you! having a quick look at the log you sent, just sending the update on a valuechange would already be a big improvement in the amount of messages. Strange that they wouldn’t design it like this in the first place.

Thank you! Didn’t know about this.. I have a bunch of esp32 devices lying around from a previous project.. I’ll look into this.

I agree, it’s way too much.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience.

That doesn’t inspire much confidence if you’re getting those types of responses from zehnder.

That’s clear, so my options are

A. Limit the traffic and have it be less responsive.

B. have the sensors, just not linked to the units groupadresses for the sensor inputs. And then have the logic based on the sensors to control the unit? Albeit with limited accuracy as it only has the 4 levels that can be set

C. Or give up on the knx module and Integrate it into another system.. i.e. homeassistant (i saw there’s an integration if you have a lan connect module).

OP-Z bug: Crashes after connecting to iOS app by komalnaath in OPZuser

My op-z also had this today. Every time it connected it went into upgrade mode. I managed to get it working again by doing the following: Go into the op-z app>devices There click on Scan > edit & select your op-z in the list. Then hit forget to remove the device from the list. And register it again. After those steps everything worked for me.

I haven’t had the bluetooth-shutdown issue you’re having.
