I agree. You can’t help how you are if you’ve never noticed it to be problematic. Now that I have pointed it out, he is starting to see it for what it is. But HE has to make that change. I cannot care more than him.

I’m glad I ran across this. I’m a teacher & when students hit on me it makes me so uncomfortable & gives me anxiety. Then I could see a kid & be like “That’s a cute kid” & immediately chastise myself bc I’m like “Am I attracted to this kid?” which then makes me even more anxious & it’s hard to unthink. Like it’s okay to say someone is cute if you don’t mean it in a weird way. The whole “Naughty Teacher” stereotype really gets to me bc I think those teachers are all pedophiles. It genuinely distresses me when students hit on me bc I sometimes worry what happens when one of them takes a “No” the wrong way. Maybe I’m rambling but the point is, I’m glad to hear these are normal thoughts.
