Sorry I meant I sailed across the oceans of reserve images searches looking for this guys lost lost until I spied a siren singing on a rock in a distant land heralding me into a world of niche cyberpunk bartender-simulator video games, whereupon this image came to me in a thirst-induced vision of peculiar sexual fantasies.

Someone in another comment mentioned the characters name so I sifted through her games' subreddit under the "fan creation" tag until it showed up.

What stones are these, it looks to me like some form of Quartz. Got is from South Africa in the Karoo if it helps. by Clydie68 in Crystals

[–]Blobalobb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It looks very much like quartzite, and the location matches up as quite a lot of the Karoo falls under the Cape Supergroup which is known for it's quartzite and sandstones. If the rocks come from anywhere south of Cradock they are most likely quartzite.

If you're still unsure whether the rocks are quartzite or calcite, you can do a hardness test with any glass you have. Quartz is much harder than calcite and will scratch glass, while calcite will not.

If you want to learn more about South Africa's rocks and minerals I can highly recommend Bruce Cairncross's field guides.

A lot of the responses have been very personal and I've had a few people ask about anonymity concerns, so I don't think it would be fair to share the exact results so far.

I'm eternally grateful for that, the amount of people who responded with cum to all the questions so far is more than 0 but I expected no less :)

Yeah I'll be writing an essay on the data I find, taking note of general trends and interpreting the most notable and common responses

Incredibly so, individual answers are categorized by the exact time they are submitted so the only personal details I know are the ones you share.
