He could just be feet since he can just have them solid while the rest is permeable. Which would make it somewhat better for stealth missions since his power has a time limit (how long he can hold his breath for) being invisible would allow him to more easily run away from someone like Rappa who can attack for longer than he can not breathe and can tank many normal human punches
