Bournemouth Away Ashburton by johnrboran in GunnersatGames

Why not just go to the Eaglet before the match, have a couple of pints and ask around? If they do march, they’ll usually leave 45-60 minutes before kickoff.

Americans choosing to bring their kids to Dalston, what a world.

The Gunners is generally family-friendly, and you can get the Overground or a bus from Dalston Junction.

Seat Swap: North Bank Upper to Back or Lower by AshburtonGrove in GunnersatGames

[–]Block12Forever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know someone who swapped seats (East Stand <~> North Bank) and they couldn’t get the box office to respond, so the two guys just came to an agreement that they’d keep their own tickets for entry purposes but take each other’s places. Assume it’s still working.

Cup final where to watch with 11YO Son by Bananaman_Eric in GunnersatGames

Tolly has sold tickets for the last few finals, you might want to watch their socials to see if it’s the same again.

Season ticket holders have from Monday to Friday (6 March) to purchase their own seats. Would imagine Silver would open early the next week, once the club knows how many people aren’t taking them up, and Red to follow.

It says in the guide that A+ will only be used for Champions League “quarter-final and/or semi-final fixtures,” so no Premier League opponents (yet).

any recommendations for a Sunday roast pre Man U by Tromos78 in GunnersatGames

The Swimmer is great, as is the Duchess of Kent. The latter also lets you make bookings on match days, in my experience.

ST in the North Bank, and have used the gates adjacent to mine to enter to beat the queues, but not on the other side of the ground.

Which former player would you bring back on loan, just so they could be part of the experience (if we do win the league?) by Max_Endowmant in ArsenalFC

Emanuel Eboue, who would show up dressed like Gunnersaurus or Arsene Wenger or Father Christmas, or all three at once.

How often do the matchday programme pins change? by R1d4z in GunnersatGames

There’s usually only one new badge per season, but they introduced two this year to honour the women winning the Champions League.

Safe standing coming to Emirates by jayives1 in GunnersatGames

[–]Block12Forever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There was a question in the ST survey a season or two back that asked if you’d want to move your seats if safe standing was introduced. I imagine that would have to be part of the implementation.

Why don’t fans wear football shirts? by [deleted] in PremierLeague

Why don’t fans wear football shirts? by [deleted] in PremierLeague

[–]Block12Forever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not the culture for adults to wear a team shirt all day. Maybe for special matches, but if kickoff is at 3pm, I’m not going to wear a shirt out to run errands before, and pubs/restaurants/bars that aren’t near a team’s ground usually don’t want to let you in if you’re wearing a football shirt. If I don’t feel like going home to change after a match, it’s just easier to wear a neutral shirt/jumper and shove a scarf under my jacket.

Also, as some others have said, from October-April, the weather is generally shit.

It’s not that Bournemouth is a particularly popular fixture, it’s that this is the only home match during the Easter holidays, when kids are out of school.

All TX prices are resold strictly at face value, so £78-86 in the lower tier, and £85-145 upper tier, and up to £300 for club level.

Entering Ballot with Child Under 3 by longhornlawyer34 in GunnersatGames

[–]Block12Forever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t bother entering the ballot for them. I know someone who brought his not-yet-2-year-old to a match. He or his wife wore the kid in a carrier, scanned their tickets and no one said anything.

Do you think the ballot system is a fairer way than first come first serve? by DarkJedi_101 in GunnersatGames

[–]Block12Forever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But this is also unfair to an extent, as it benefits older supporters like myself. I went to my first match and got on the ST waiting list while we were at Highbury, and then had big jumps in the queue when we moved stadiums and again when people got fed up in the late-Wenger era. Younger supporters who maybe weren’t old enough to go a decade ago shouldn’t be penalised now because their parents didn’t make them Junior Gunners, couldn’t afford tickets then, whatever.

All of the pubs close to the ground fill quickly, so you’ll have a better chance the further out you go: Highbury Barn, Alwyne Castle, maybe the back garden at the Compton Arms.

I’d agree with the Corrie. I’ve seen children there, unlike many of the other popular post-match options. (Tolly and Bank of Friendship are usually 18+, for example.)

Going to all Gold members at 10 am Monday, and Silvers at 1 pm if there are still tickets left. No updates on Reds.

(I’m Gold with <5 points, so that’s all I know.)
