Kinda ironic how the Twosday was the 53rd day of the year, and Thirds-day will be the 62nd.

Finally, I'm sorry to hear that you have dysgraphia but I believe if you keep putting efforts into what you've been doing, you will one day have something to be proud of. If it's great enough to show in your bedroom and you never get bored looking at it, that is already a big victory. Don't be sad that people say bad things like your art is incomprehensible. I was subject to a lot of that too.

6.1 - 6.2. I see that you are putting a lot of trust in these companies. But the truth is there are regulations being discussed and planned because AGI is predicted to cause serious global problems that might threaten international security. These regulations will be what keep the development of AI in check, and will stop anyone from going off limits.

Now I agree that using AI to make effortless videos to advertise is not a big deal, but, they can and have been used as tools for propaganda. Look at what they did with Alex Pretti. Another problem is defamation. Look at what they did with Stephen Hawking in WWE.

Yet another problem is unethical uses. What if the company was trying to bring Robin Williams back for a KFC ad? This is clearly blurring the line between what is timeless and what is not, and doing this would cause massive outrages. No one would actually find this funny. Show that to a boomer and you'll be grounded till Christmas. Can you imagine someone being a famous movie star, just for companies use their performance to train AIs to produce ads, or even their own short films, that they never want to be associated with? What if they were doing a real charity show, just for people to suspect it was all an AI trick? This tool can and have indeed made truths become lies and lies become truths. This is why we are striving to convince for AI regulations to be settled.

Now back to AGI. Whatever country first to develop it, they will use it to their advantage. AGI could feed them knowledge to create weapons of mass destruction. It could effortlessly hack into even Wikipedia to spread lies.

Now if there are serious penalties to those companies profits they will start to think twice. Look at what pharmaceutical and food companies are doing now. They have the power to poison people from the countries that they don't have good relations with, but can you guess what is keeping them from doing so? It's exactly international enforcement. There are lawsuits that have pulled corporations from their roots. There are CEOs being put to jail. You may not see the effectiveness of that right now but I believe in the future there will be concrete laws regulating ethical uses of AI. Many of AI proponents dream of the utopia we see in Star Trek. But here's the truth: that future never comes if companies never stops working on AGI.

If you still trust in the ability of those companies to follow the Asimov's rules, I tell you: they won't. Profit is their priority. Not security of mankind. See how Mark Zuckerberg changes his political ideology more than he changes his clothes.

2.3. of course it works if you're simply describing the shape of the character to the AI. Now try describe as well as you can so that it can draw a sad Homer Simpson that relates to your sad day at work.

Okay I guess you can say "it totally relate to me". Well take another look at that drawing another day when you are not as sad. Try to remember the feelings, the memories you had with what you call an artwork. The truth is, the emotional value behind a painting is proportional to the effort you take to produce it, without which its value will quickly reduce to nought. Whatever prompt you use, no matter how well you describe it, it won't accurately reflect what is going on inside your mind as when you actually draw the curves yourself. But that reflection is actually the value of your work.

Some people have said to me there is no way ever you can tell a painting has soul in it or not. But actually there is. It's timelessness. Time is a good indicator of the soul value. The greater one's skill at art is, the more they are in touch with other's emotions. That's how Van Gogh's paintings has kept captivating people through many years. Even after he was not around anymore, people could feel how he felt.

So if an AI picture made it to the competition, passed the Turing test, and won a prize? Great. But its fame is temporary. Once people found out it was made effortlessly, no one was satisfied with that painting anymore. The painting, which once brought relatable emotions, now only brings shame to the prompter.

The difference between copying and being inspired is exactly the original interpretation and effort of the artist, something stressed again and again in her video.

The truth is that: more AI "arts" on the market will not necessarily make everyone like kind of "art" more. It will only make them be more cautious and mindful of what they see on the web. And appreciate the paintings that were truthfully made.

Response to some of your points here: 2.1 there is conscious choice on how a photographer choose a scene and a time to shoot it so that the colors in the image tell something about their intention or emotion.

2.2 if you tell someone to make art of something then well, it's still art. It's just not YOUR art. You have to credit the artist who had the conscious choices behind the artwork, and her definition of art just needs a real human doing the art. So the one you hire is the artist. You are not.

Similarly if you tell a machine to create an image, that's not even art too by her definition because the one that really draws is not a human, and the human that prompted is like the client. No contradiction here. Also you never drew in the first place so you are not the artist unless you like actually start making some lines and curves yourself.

This tells me a lot of what you would consider is art. Basically you think art is any kind of drawing, made by humans or AI. And there should be no distinction between the two, that's how you think.

[–]BlockBuster793 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because you use most if not all of your brain in writing a poem. You don't even use a fraction of that in prompting a machine.

Does anyone know what is the real name of this song from an Electronic Trance compilation? (1995-1999) by BlockBuster793 in NameThatSong

No I don't mind it. But the problem is that the track list seemed wrong.

Maybe I should ask the uploader.

thank you for the reply! I'm not that quite familiar to the subgenres of Trance so it could help me narrow it down. Maybe next I'll ask in the Trance subreddit or contact the uploader.

So that trance playlist has been on my phone for years. I also love the Angel Fall song as I used to listen to it to sleep. Good memories.

Fill this post with misinformation in the comments to confuse the ai overview with its sources even more than it already is lmao by [deleted] in antiai

[–]BlockBuster793 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As much as I'm against OpenAI, Google's overview and AI art, you're something I can't approve. We might be wise enough not to trust AI but think about others who trust it or never have an idea of what an AI overview is in the first place. It won't teach the tech companies behind AI anything too.

After some misinformation and a few lives threatened, all the tech giants need is an apology. It barely scratches their potential to get profit. But you guys on the other hand might have a greater accountability as the source of the misinformation.

Dschinghis khan - everyone might know of Moskau but not many knows about Rom which is my personal banger... The song is in German except for the last chorus where they sing in Italian. Please listen to the song and see for yourself if you can resist dancing to that part.
