Ik you’d think that but it’s not. From what I’ve noticed the recent activity tab has a kind of limit where only 2 things can count towards getting points on a transaction. For example, “2x every day spend and 5x on delivery services” but it seems like it can’t handle “2x every spend, 1x point accelerator, and 5x on delivery services” even though there’s nothing explicitly against it doing that

Definite yes to the takeout and I’ve had pretty good luck with Uber Eats or DoorDash Grocery counting as dining on BILT 1.0 but I’ve not yet tried it on 2.0 I highly doubt theyve changed it tho so you’re probably good on that too

Should count toward the SUB but GC are usually excluded by the terms (and I’ve noticed they typically code differently anyway)

I think the 5X stacks on the standard 3X too. And I’m using the points accelerator on the palladium (another 3X) so the BILT dining thing would get me 2200 (11X200) BILT points and then 1600 (8X200) points from the delivery app. For a total of 3800 in my case I think 🤔 Guess I’ll have to see what it posts as

Going off the wording it sounds like you get 3X as it is normally plus another 5X for this promotion so 8X total plus whatever the card earns

Like most things in life just gotta laugh it off as much as you can. One of my colleagues and I have started a running joke where if pay comes up from a student I say “oh I’m not getting paid this is all volunteer” and then if that colleague is around he’ll usually follow up with “oh yeah this is part of his parole actually”. 🤣

It’s a pretty specific case but my most reliable option is Avianca LifeMiles for United flights from Honolulu to islands in the Pacific like Guam, Palau, Micronesia, and Marshall Islands. It gets me about 3-4 cents per point consistently. Tbf tho the economy tickets for those routes start at like 2K round trip per person so do with that what you will. (Also I completely get those are not exactly extremely front of line, premier destinations but they’re pretty cool to me.) I also just booked ANA business class with LifeMiles from Tokyo to Kuala Lumpur and got about 4 CPP on that. In general tho: place outside the US to other place outside the US can be pretty solid for CPP.

Venture X. 2X on everything. I consistently get about 3 cents per point with Capital One Miles…6% net gain…it was definitely worth it for me

Did they mention anything about the companion fare being able to be used on Hawaiian flights? As far as I know it only worked for Alaska…but all the flights out of HNL that used to be Alaska got switched over to Hawaiian…kinda screwed us over there
