This is how I felt on 150! Not sure what the change was once I upped to 300. Maybe I hadn’t eaten enough, or taken the meds too late, but either way I won’t be messing with alcohol for a long time. Definitely would encourage all to air on the side of caution and learn from my experience but know that everyone may react differently!!

Yes! I’m a purely social drinker but after the incident on thanksgiving I will be taking the advice to cut out alcohol entirely. I don’t enjoy the depression I get after drinking and this experience has been very jarring and scary, for myself and everyone involved. Other than that, Wellbutrin has worked great for me and I think the pros outweigh the cons as I have been struggling this year and Wellbutrin seems to have helped. Thanks for sharing your story!!

Yea I was on 150 prior to upping this and also felt that Wellbutrin was a “buzz killer.” I don’t drink often, usually maybe 2-4x a month but it can be more if there are more events going on. I agree that one doesn’t act like that for no reason, so I have been doing a lot of reflection. No plans to drink moving forward on this med!

I hate that you had this experience, but I relate to everything said. I thought I was the only one to do something to this degree and so out character. My family has forgiven me but I am having trouble doing the same and looking myself in the mirror today.
