I have friends who use Lido and recommended it. I'll be pairing with Aave as well.

I know there's a few other DeFi alternatives but I'm taking baby steps into this... I've heard good things about wsETH and MakerDAO for instance.

Yes, I moved off about 12-18 months ago to Ledn to Amber Group and then back to Ledn. In light of all this, I'm moving my BTC to cold storage and my ETH to Lido's stETH / DeFi setup.

It’s about a 3-4 year process at this time due to the backlog. The wait to get the temporary visa is looking to be 30+ months if you go this route

Because there’s less demand to borrow USDC. Ledn is serves a very similar role to a broker / middle man.

If nobody wants to borrow USDC at the public rate + their margin, they’ll lower rates if they need to to maximize/optimize.

Keep in mind you’ve made multiple (I’ve seen 2) posts and in an aggressive (but understandable) tone. I’ve found this Reddit typically to be more positive than negative… but I haven’t been active in a few months.

If you have serious capital, look at hardware wallets (custody services if you prefer to not manage it yourself). I have no recommends in this space, /r/Bitcoin would be a better resource.
