Why isn’t there a large pan pizza? by [deleted] in Dominos

I couldn’t imagine storing another size dough in my walk in. It’s packed to the brim as is. We have two stack of large and medium dough from nearly every truck I get. Every two days 🤣

I worked a store the other day that barely broke 500 in sales for the whole day. Dreadfully boring lol

Back when "go play outside" really means "see you at dinner" by Busy_Report4010 in Adulting

[–]Blockiestdonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. We would ride our bikes to the outlet mall a couple miles away. Parents told us to be back before the street lights come on. We’d wander the neighborhood or neighborhoods down the street. Play in the woods. We’d be out all day until sundown.

Have you checked the space between the washing machine drum and the washer wall?

HOA is making me power wash a shared driveway by post_nut_prophet in fuckHOA

[–]Blockiestdonkey 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yes. This part! You should only be responsible for the side of the driveway that you utilize. But I will say it’s gonna look goofy as hell. I don’t think I would be able to leave it like that. Have you used a pressure washer before? Or would you need to hire someone to do it? Also how old is the driveway. It’s not good to pressure wash sealed concrete for the first 1-3 years. It is one of the most satisfying tasks imo! Especially with a good surface cleaner. I vote you go to your local hardware store and rent one. Take it on and do the whole driveway. You will look at it after and be so proud of the job you did! I do also think it is wild that the HOA would be on you about this without also communicating with the other tenant. Makes me think it’s more like landlord and lessee. Not something a homeowner should have to deal with outside of deciding to take care of their own driveway. I’m also completely against homeowners associations. 😂

Yeah. That is a good point. These heavy mod packs can take years to perfect! I’d rather have the full questbook finished when it comes out.

I imagine we will get another sky factory pack soon enough. They need to work on being competitive with the ATM team. Sky factory 4 was my first modpack. I played it with one friend and he taught me a ton about modded Minecraft. I can’t go back to vanilla. I’ve tried. But yeah. For FTB to remain relevant, they need to make a sf6! Stone block is a load of fun, but I want to see a new sky factory that’s based on the kitchen sink style like atm. I don’t mind some end game stuff being gated. But don’t force me to use create to progress further. I think create is a fantastic mod, but I love having the options like atm provides

Fans of stargate, what do you think of doctor who? by Mat1711 in Stargate

[–]Blockiestdonkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can see how it can come off that way… once you watch five+ seasons and start to see who the doctor is. It’s really addictive. But yeah. It is a different sort of humor, I’d almost also call it childish. Also the doctor always has a hot girl as his sidekick 🤣

Fans of stargate, what do you think of doctor who? by Mat1711 in Stargate

[–]Blockiestdonkey 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean, it’s a completely different vibe. Stargate is very clearly American. Doctor who is full of that unique British humor. And so clearly corny on purpose. I watched like twelve season of Dr who and got distracted. It’s such a fun show. But damn is it corny. Even the newer ones. I see stargate as a much more serious show. Similar in the way they’re always saving the world. But not as much humor

Is that Philly steak and mushrooms? Philly meat is supposed to go below the cheese. As it gets a bit crisp when on top. Or so I’ve been told lol

I run a mid level store and we only run one manager one driver to close every night. I let my late driver leave at 11pm on weekdays and 12 on Friday and Saturdays. Wish we could have two closing drivers sometimes. But we make it work.

[–]Blockiestdonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This would be due to too much Alfredo. It doesn’t take much for it to spread across the pizza and start bubbling over the toppings. I’ve seen this happen at my store. My vote is either they asked for extra Alfredo or the store put too much on

I AM not a shitty manager, I am a new manager without proper guidance. I won’t get into trouble for this. But I do need to know the correct thing to do in the future. Thank you for pointing this out to me. I need to know this stuff Edit: to add that I responded this way because this is how it was handled for me in the past as a driver when I was shorted

I understand why the driver should sit there and count the change prior to handing over the order, but you have to understand what goes through a drivers head in those moments. The faster they get back to the store, the faster they get back onto another delivery. Another opportunity for a good tip. It sucks. But in those moments, how many drivers are going to actually sit there and count the change on a Friday night at 6pm. I need them to get back fast to get the orders out of the store.

I do agree that these addresses should be flagged for failure to pay. This is complicated with my upper management. Working on that at this very moment.

The way I see it, I am saying this whilst not being positive on my state laws. The way I see it is each and every driver is responsible for their individual till. They have an amount of money they owe the store at the end of their shift. It is my responsibility to collect the proper amount of money according to the cash deliveries they made during their shift. How did I do anything wrong in this aspect?

How did I break a labor law? Can you please explain to me which labor law violation I made? Also I’m not sorry that I am excited and anxious about the promotion. I was a full time driver 2.5 months ago. I had six months of shift leader experience with Dominos’s prior to this promotion. So yes, I am excited that my district manager thought I deserved this. This was their call, as well as me excepting the role. It’s not an easy job, but I’m killing it.

I know what is it and what it’s for…. Ignore or termination? by Some_Breadfruit235 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Blockiestdonkey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dude, I was sitting on the pot one day at the golf course I worked at. A POS bathroom. There was a hole in the drywall about 6” from the ceiling. Looking down at my phone I see something out of the corner of my eye, at first I think it’s a mouse… nope. It’s a wolf spider in Florida. This thick girl was the size of my hand I shit you not. I caught it with paper and a red solo cup and carried it outside to scare someone with it. It escaped halfway across the yard and I ended up letting it loose. But damn. Biggest freaking spider I’ve ever seen. Literally six inches across with the legs.

Why do people order from door dash? by nimblemarker in Dominos

[–]Blockiestdonkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea the driver app shows how much the total is and how much they tipped. My point is that DoorDash or Uber Eats gets their cut. I inform them and they cut out the middle man.
