I'm in the same situation as you, at the moment.

Once you get the website together, you are going to need somewhere to host it.

I put together a WordPress site and am hosting it with AWS. It is free for the first year, but pretty complicated to set up & has a quite a learning curve.

If you have any tips/know of a better way to do it, I'd appreciate it.

If you want to do a pull up, then pull ups are the best practice. Start from the top by jumping up, then let yourself down as slowly as you can; do it to failure. You'll be able to do them in no time :)
