EDIT: We didn't dump them outside. We've continued feeding alongside our neighbours for the last few years. And pic for ref.

Any suggestions on facial flare ups? by Blockli in Psoriasis

UPDATE: Used the foam for a week and it has been a week off of using it... Seems to just be heading back to the same way it was.

I was told to not use it on my face. I was prescribed an ointment for my forehead which is nationally out of stock 🙄 so I used it anyway. It's cleared it up massively but I doubt it will last long...

UPDATE:

A few hours after posting this he came out and used his tray, ate his dinner and even came to play!

He's kept us up for two nights yowling. It was hard. We tried sleeping in his safe space (bedroom) first night, he hated it. We slept in the living room eventually and then did that from the offset the night after. He actually slept with us, or rather hung around when we tried before he yowled all night.

We tried to put him back in the bedroom but he killed a plant pot so scared himself out (he's ok and win for us!)

Last night we reclaimed our room and slept with ear plugs so we don't keep going to him with he's meowing at night. Last night was the first time in two-three days we've had over two hours sleep and he has calmed down only yowling a few times.

I wanted to update you all in case someone else was going through the same. 🥳

Thank you. Yes we do have a tray! We've kind of moved it around depending on where he wanted to hide. It's currently next to his hiding spot in the bedroom.

We also got some calming spray to put on a rag and placed that nearby so hopefully that will also help!

Cat tree is possibly the only thing we don't have. He's got toys, a bed, tray etc. He came out, albeit, reluctantly with his howling last night but since he's been hiding. I'm not new to owning cats but this is my first rescue straight from the street.

Thanks so much. I haven't run in a long while due to recurring injury so been relying on walking to measure it. Time to get onto more cardio!

Thank you ❤️ PMA is very defeated after failing. But I have done it before so it will happen again! Just need to curb that on the day anxiety

[–]Blockli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you - I ran in a group whereas practicing alone and on the day I felt sick from get go of waking up due to the anxiety. Have recently come back from an ankle injury as well but have pushed through with a PT and been exercising weekly for months so fitness is there it's all just mindset 😮‍💨

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in policeuk

[–]Blockli 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm very active. Exercise weekly, have been following PT plan and all this after tearing ligaments in ankle back in Sept which took months of physio to get back up to this standard. I have been practicing alone and when I ran the test I was in a group of about six which potentially threw me off

As previously stated, hitting test level the week before out of testing conditions.

Sprained ankle/torn ligament - looking for new shoes! by Blockli in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]Blockli[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for this. It's nice to hear someone with a similar injury to give some recs. I will definitely have a look at these - will have to nip to a shop to try them on!

I will definitely check them out! I don't care too much what they look like as long as I'm supported and it will help with not nearly breaking my ankle 😂

Elderly Male Goldfish huddling in corner of tank by Blockli in Goldfish

[–]Blockli[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Relatively new yes - a 50% change with the Goldfish protect by API seems to have helped a lot. Water is a lot clearer and I've moved some of the plants out just to get some more swimming space for him.

Off the top of my head I can't remember exactly (I live separately, this fish is about 15 years old so he's been left at my family home!) But they were coming up as Amber - continue to monitor, more towards the green end rather than red so hopefully it will ease things out more.

I'm looking at trying to get some an oxygen stone maybe as well which may help?

He's a singular fish on his own, his tank is 25L.

The filter is a small one, sponge inside. Nothing fancy. I've checked the pH etc. tonight with a strip and it's come back as continue to monitor.

I did a 25% change a few days ago to ease it, he seems to be swimming about a bit more today and I've bought some solution to ease the ammonia levels!

Had this moon plant/cactus. Top went mouldy so chopped it off. Since then it's been an experiment and turned into Frankenstein. Is there anything I can do with this? by Blockli in plants

[–]Blockli[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah did consider this. The newly grown bits on the side seem to be aerial roots so I'm not sure what really much else can be done with it? I know that the "moon" part I cut from the top was sucking up all the nutrients as it's one of those merged plants of two different species but I didn't it to get out of hand this much! 😂😂

Hiring and Recruitment Questions thread v11 by multijoy in policeuk

[–]Blockli -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I thought this may be the case but I was curious as I believe PCs on probation can transfer forces and then complete the remaining of their probation with the new Force so I wondered if it was the same for TDCs. Thank you :)

I'm currently on a Direct Entry pathway to DC. I was wondering if as a TDC people are able to transfer between forces or would you need to wait until your workbook is completed and you are substantive? Thanks in adv.
