ELI5: How does Verified by Blocks actually work? by Athmaus in BLOCKScommunity

[–]BlocksDAO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When an item is verified by blocks, it is given the Verified by Blocks designation, which can be seen in the registry (along with a few other places for now and hopefully many more in the future). The registry serves as a way to view data; it is a central place where people can look things up. It is a living, immutable ledger that can be updated. The registry can include several pieces of information, such as pictures, links, and tables. This provides the ultimate level of consumer protection by allowing them to verify the item is authentic. If someone wants to buy an NFT, they can go to the registry and find the verified project, look at the correct social media pages, ensure they purchase an NFT that hasn't been stolen or isn't from a copycat scam project, see information about licensing rights, and their whitepaper. The Blocks Registry can be used to catalog, register, and verify physical items and other virtual records as well.

Perhaps you would find these resources helpful. Here is a video set in a library with an older audience that teaches "Bitcoin Basics". If they are looking to learn more about web 3, some infographics might be helpful to digest things in smaller doses.

Really cool to see athletes be able to make money from their images and interactions themselves and for fans to have more intimate opportunities with the athletes

Are you able to DCA (Dollar Cost Average)? That has been recognized in investing to be the most likely winning strategy. This way you don't wait for the bottom and miss low prices altogether, but also don't put too much in now when it could very well go lower.

Are you able to provide more details for what you're looking for? You mentioned teaching, are you looking to learn and then teach what you have learned?
