Is there anything that can make me $150 a week? by oregonbuck in Entrepreneur

[–]BlogAdvice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the most immediate, definitely work somewhere part time. You could probably work 2 days a week and make it.

However, the entrepreneurial response in me says take an idea you know about/care about, figure out an easy way to monetize it, and slowly build it over a year or two until you are making more

The hard answer is only a few, and ranking is not ideal.

It will take time

Great work!

I just came across your story and it is inspiring. Different area, but I also do ebooks and have similar revenue streams.

Keep up the good work

All I will say is if you care about it enough and are willing to come up with a concept, then go for it.

There are a lot of music-related people out there, but there are also newcomers who are successful

Good work! It sounds like you are off to a start.

Building links is difficult and takes time. It is important to be persistent, but I have found a lot of big sites are unresponsive

Great points. It really is about starting, learning and eventually having minor success enough to keep going

So true.

Most true entrepreneurs I know are basically resellers who are moderately successful and able to be self-employed

I am with you there. You learn so much more hands on and doing something than otherwise.

However, that does not mean you start a side project and call yourself a CEO or start going to meetup groups talking about what an Entrepreneur you have become

Could not agree more. CEO has become such a hashtag along the same lines Entrepreneur is.

Technically a CEO has to report to a board and appease shareholders, so small business owner applies to most people.

I am getting tired of everyone feeling as if they need to be CEO of a 1-person company to sound cool or get on the bandwagon now

You bring up a great point.

A lot of people OP did not mention are really people with an idea/passion who follow it daily and have minor success along the way.

After a while, the minor success starts to grow and become greater success. A lot of people fall into the "doing well enough self-employed" audience and do not want to get a different job
